Inspiration!

Have you ever heard of the medieval town of RHOTENBURG OB DER TAUBER in southern Germany? Im my opinion it's the closest you can get to a life-size Mordheim, the only real difference being that a comet has not yet crushed it! If you Google it you'll find loads of pictures. I've selected some good ones below.

First up is a map of the town. I could spend hours just looking at it!



Some famous structures inlude an old armoury, the city walls with numerous towers and of course the city hall.

















Pretty awesome, right? Now if this town does not say "Mordheim" all over, I'll ask Nala to turn me into a frog and spend my days chasing hot blond princesses and sleeping in the mud!

LOOKIN' GOOD! You're off the hook for the amphibian transformation & the mud; chasing the Princesses, however, sounds like something you might want to try.

EXCELLENT FIND! Now that's my idea of a FANTASTIC Army...would probably send the G.W. Crew into the Deep Purple Horrors.

GREAT FIND! For some one like moi who is into steam punk, that is a treasure trove of ideas. Thanks for posting it JoaoS!

Louise Rayner Watergate Street, Chester
Notice the roofs, stonework, wall colours, pavements, posters and activities of the civilians. This painting contains a lot of elements for potential scenery building.

I walked along Watergate Street yesterday! It still looks "Mordheimy" but not nearly as cool as that painting. Too much modern signage!

I love that JB painting too - the details like the white cat on the roof and the fight on the bridge bring an already amazing atmosphere to life.

Can't believe this is an old JB picture. It's so warm and nice. Where is the twisted cruelty? The pain? The crippled people?
