Just found a site worth looking at for inspiration and ideas (don't know if it's been mentioned before) -

www.en.charpentiers.culture.fr.

It's a site devoted to construction of timber framed buildings, primarily French, but there are some great photos and plans in the 'Examples' link. Definitely worth having a look at!

Hey guys, anyway this is why i wanted to login to your extremely boring site, I saw some of you had a couple pictures on asia themed buildings (are you still in china joao?) and I had just taken a couple of pictures of a little wooden courtyard style Chinese buildings.

I took it because I liked the naive feel of the building techniques and thought it could provide ideas on building simple chinese style roofs without looking for too much realism

the other picture (with more color) is a more intricate closeup of what a richer chinese roof structure can be made like for advanced hobbyists!

There isnt ... that's why i took the pictures, also they only have 2 of them and they sell them already glued toguether

i'm thinking of getting one and taking it apart but the guy is tough on negotiation ... i wish they didnt think white people are wallets on legs

Anyway the first thing i do when i get back into the hobby (have to project right now ...) is building one of those

Are those suitable for 28mm scale? That would be awesome!

you could fit a skaven through the little entrance but he'd look like a basketball player ^^

He he he. Still, a great model to get inspiration from.

I guess for an Eastern campaign you could build one of those and scattersome trees and statues on the board and off you go!

Hey guys, I went to the art stores downtown beijing to get some loot for starting my scenery and i had some time to visit the art gallery across the street. here's what i saw there ...

These will go lovely with your Chinese village image joao, there are some beautifull buildings on water and by the riverside and a full village view as well. The one with lots of yellow is a vine i think (no english in THAT art gallery ...)
