| I can't find any pics of the actual plates from the book online, but any of you Terry Pratchett/Discworld fans (and I know there have to be a few, on both the Continent and British Isles) should definitely look in their copies of "The Art of Discworld". The drawings Paul Kidby does of the buildings in Ankh-Morpork are both accurate-looking (historically accurate looking) and skewed all at the same time. There's a touch of wistfulness in their lines to better fit the fantasy theme of the Discworld novels, as well as being totally believable as medieval buildings. Ran across it just this past weekend (I'm reading through the entire Discworld series, and currently on #14) and thought I'd share. | |

I have already finished the series and have the book and love the artwork, and now I wonder why I have never ever thought of this before I am jealous that you still have so many funny & exciting novels before you! Perhaps I should start again. They are awesome, Terry Pratchett is one great contemporary author. | |

| Eliazar - I've read almost the whole series before, just not the latest 2 or 3, and definitely not all in order like this. Pratchett is easily one of my favorite authors, and I'm dismayed that he announced he has Alzheimer's and doesn't know how many more books he'll be able to write. Of course, the Discworld series is more a collection of single books, so it's not like he's got an overarching storyline to clean up before he's unable to write anymore. Cianty - great link! I love how you can see a Terry Pratchett book in the pile in the background next to the board layout. And the layout itself looks awesome. Can't wait to see it finished. | |

| This is a picture from my hometown. I think I'm going to use it to finally build terrain for Mordheim and not let my friends do all the work. | |

| I think the guardpost would be a nice addition to a fortified house or town wall. | |

| Here's a pen and ink drawing I'm working on. It might make fun Estalian, Tilean or Remean terrain if you had a mind to make some like that. | |
