| So ive grew up with G.I. Joe and it cemented my love for vilians and heroes. (and cool nicknames!) When the movie hit the cinemas my love lit up once more and i started to look into how to field Cobra Commander as a miniature. witch must be the best of two worlds! Recently i found this figure, http://shop.eastridingminiatures.co.uk/nyl4-2106-p.aspand in addition with an mantle, sabre and a dueling pistol he gonna be great on the field! However, i haven´t got any clue on witch warband that could represent him and his cult. Fluffwise the are a new growing criminal gang whit the mysterious Lord Cobra in the lead. Gamewise im after something balanced. My first thought was to make them along the lines of the original human bands, but since ive already done an Marienburgers band it seems a bit boring to do another one. So, is there a warband out there you guys think will fit the bill? Im open for all suggestions! Thanks in advance! Here´s that same miniature but painted. (not painted by me, just stolen from the net!) http://fratersinister.deviantart.com/art/Cobra-Commander-28mm-Miniature-302830879 | |

| You could go with Witch Hunters instead. I can totally see a Warrior Priest done up to look like Destro. If you think about it, the zealot ideal of "kill 'em all and let the gods sort 'em out" kinda fits with Cobra as well. | |

| Spectre76: Indeed!! Are they good to play with? I can easily see Cobra as some zealot and destro as the priest! However, i have no clue how to act on the field.
Gonna study them abit while looking for other exotic, fanmade (although playtested) bands! Thanks for taking time to post! | |

| Witch Hunters are a nicely balanced lot. They have insanely good close combat guys in the form of Flagellants and Warhounds and they also have access to all sorts of ranged goodies as well, such as crossbow pistols. They have a max number of 12 in the warband, but they're able to overcome that pretty easily. | |

| Not familiar with G.I Joe lore, but this guy looks like by-the-book reikland sergeant/captain in pressed (if possible in mordheim) uniform to me. You coud also use tileans or as spectre76 suggested, witch hunters. Although not as powerfull as my precedesor said, they indeed make up for a strong warband against certain other fractions. However, if you like cobra (bad guys - am I right?) you can use marienburgers - lot of money, specialist equipment options, "sectret agenda" (ok, not so secret - get obscenely rich)... They would be good evil but not chaotic warband. | |

| Thanks for the replies guys! Mutch appriciated! Well, i Do have made an Marienburger warband, so i have an backup plan to use him therin. However, they dont seem as popular as the Reiklanders and im not quite sure why it is so. Since making this thread ive read up alot on the witch hunters. A very nice warband! The Tileans is new to me. Gonna check them up so thanks for the suggestion! G.I. Joe lore is pretty simple. Cobra commander is the evil mastermind and Gi.joe is the good guys. All of them have cool nícknames | |

| Sorry, haven't noticed your marienburg icon Tileans are from lustria and are bit too strong when considering standard Mordheim warbands. Basically it's reikland (miragliano tier) with +1 to hit when using crossbows on all heroes, captain with 2 attacks, champions, marksmen and duellists (swordsmen without reroll but with 6+ armor save) with +1 I and skaven-hatred for everyone Not mentioning rapiers and pikes on their starting list. | |

| They sounds very nice! Thanks for the brief introduction. Overall they seem to fit what ive wanted. (altough the balance thing might cause some problems.)
I had hoped i could find some more info about them without downloading as i sit on my jobcomputer but since that seems hard to find ill wait till i get home.
I ordered the figure yesterday and got some plans for making it more Mordheim-y as soon as it arrives!
