| Thanks chaps! +++ The Rose & Scythe Inn is nearly done. Some details still to add: a couple for areas need a wash or a dry-brush (or both!), then I will add leaf litter & dead grass flock to the base and give the whole thing a light coat of Purity Seal. | |

| Thanks chaps! I have a few more pieces planned for Wortbad: Another forest, a Skullvane Manse (re-named "Rotshroud Manse" with a wooden platform instead of the observatory), another Baleful Realmgate, a well, a crossroads, a Numinous Occulum, an Eternity Stair, some ruins and a cornfield. I have most of the components to make these, I just need to find the time! | |

| Thanks for the village shot, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts or something like that...
I was hopeful when I saw the new campaign, but alas so far not on the new terrain (from either of you). What's Victor doing with all that Khemri terrain he built?

| We are playing a game or two in Wortbad soon, hopefully! (The problem is that my house is far away. Viktor's is near my office ) Viktor is still working on his desert scenery - I think he has plans for a few more pieces and a base board. | |

| The Court of SpadesThe Mordants of Hunger Woods are wretched creatures that dwell in the vast dark and twisted forests that surround Wortbad in the Harrowmark. The Kyng of Spades and his court are just as twisted as their home. In their madness they see themselves as a dynasty of “The Blood Royale” - a warrior-king and his retinue. The mad king of a hidden court; Mudshroud, The Kyng of Spades is an Abhorrant Ghoul King who sees the dark and twisted forest as his mighty castle and it's surrounding lands. His rotted retinue seen through his eyes are a band of mighty heroes and fair maidens, wise and just and pure of heart. The truth is dark and unpleasant: Mordgrave, The Quene of Spades is a Crypt Ghast Courtier in the tattered remains of a blue dress. Mossblade, The Knight of Spades is a Crypt Haunter Courtier with an animal skull in place of a horned a helmet. This group is inspired by the cover of an 80s board games from Games Workshop, that some of you may remember: There is still a lot of work to be done - mainly greenstuff tattered robes and the Kyng's bone crown.... | |

| Sounds like The King is as in tune to reality as The Donald. It also sounds like a WONDERFULLY imaginative project...the minis look cool as well. Have FUN with it all! | |

| This dude duke looks scary... Is he a ghoulking or a Strigoi or what? His retinue looks promising too. I also like the cover, though I don't know which part of it gave you the inspriation for your warband, to be honest. Just the name? | |

I also like the cover, though I don't know which part of it gave you the inspriation for your warband, to be honest. Just the name? He's an "Abhorrant Ghoul King", which is what Strigoi vampires are now called. In the new background they lead the Flesh-Eater Courts, who are so lost in their madness that they believe they are Kings, Knights, Courtiers and soldiers in a shining and noble royal household. You can read a bit more here. The boardgame cover serves as inspiration because that is how these ghoulish characters see themselves - so the "debased" true forms I am making will hopefully bear a passing resemblance to them. Maybe with the greenstuff finished it will be a bit easier to see.... Mudshroud, The Kyng of Spades, an Abhorrant Ghoul King in tattered royal regalia. Mordgrave, The Quene of Spades, a Crypt Ghast Courtier in the tattered remains of a blue dress. Moldforth, The Joker of Spades, a capering Crypt Ghoul fool in motley.

| Hi, Great work. You stuck to the source material beautifully. Anyone wanting such Necromonicons for themsleves (or if you want 3) for yours, there's an easy solution. That Forgeworld piece would appear to simply have used the "demon face" piece from the old Chaos vehicle accessory sprue from Warhammer 40k, circa 1999. It's about 1/3 thinner than that, but it's clarly what the cover of the book is made of. I have used them myself on various conversions. I don't think they make it any more but you can find them in bitz lots on ebay easily enough. It's just painted brown here, instead of the implication that it be metallic looking as a extra tank armor plate. That was a great sprue, it also had a plate of those dimensions, with the 8 pointed star of chaos, another that was simply covered in spikes. The gargoyle mouths for cannon barrels are also handy for chaos warband conversions! | |
