Norse Warband WIP

I decided to start a new warband. I LOVE the barabarian/viking miniatures Reaper have. Ok, they have horns and that's not 100% accurate according to history, but doesn't bother me too much.

The they travelled south with their woman, so why not put them to fight? half my warband is going to be female, since a women are not as strong as a man, most of them are going to be henchmen, also, their models turn out to be smaller than the ones I wanted to be heros.









I'm having a bad time with hair and fur, also I don't know how to base them, all 25mm? the henchmen are considreably smaller

It's always nice to see the Reaper Barbarians get some attention...the Garrity Girls are old favorites. They have a lot of potential. Have FUN with The Project!

Reaper indeed produces som nice models, and the Garrity sculpts are among them. One big drawback though, i s that most of them have got the same face (as does the models you've chosen) which is good for fitting roleplaying character development, but not so good for a warband. I would get some of the other excellent Reaper models for a bit mote variation if I were you. But then again, I'm not.

That's a big problem I have, I didn't notice until I got them at home... and I have another pack of 3 girls...

Once I have them all painted I'll try to paint makeup or something to make them look different.


What do you think about using this "frost troll" as a Ogre Bodyguard? I have an Ogre too but I think the troll is funnier

I like the girls even if the faces are the same. As they are Norse maybe use some face paint/tatoos to change them up.
#3 is my fav; whats her name as I may want to get her from Reaper for my Amazons

I think the troll will work.
