| Hi all, It has been to long since I posted on this always good looking forum. Played a Mordheim campaign about a year ago with my Dwarfs and I wrecked face with them , don't think I posted pics of them but I will do later Anyway I played 40K for 5 years straight and I got so fed up with the simple system that it is, specially now that 6th edition is released it became even more simpler. Just walk up and shooting for me is boring, I always loved CC and the style of Fantasy but none of my mates played it that is why I started 40K. But since my mates do not come at the club anymore or stopped playing I decided I needed something else to build and thinking back about my Mordheim building days I needed to start a Fantasy army. The guys at the club who play Fantasy are more relaxed than the new bunch of 40K players, only problem is that I play less games than I'm used to but they are still fun ofcourse Anyway sorry for my ramblings it is time for pics now It is a 2000 points force that only is made up of Chaos Warriors, cause I don't like the Marauders, Knights and a Shaggoth. I hope the rumours are true about new Dragon Ogre models cause I like there style and I would love to make an army that is Warriors and Dragon Ogres based BSB, Sorcerer Lord, Hero that I don't use much but I love the model Anyway enjoy!!! | |

| Thanx Opheliate. I'm glad you like the darker skin colour on the sorcerer and yes I also think the Shaggoth is one of the best models He will get some paint. I'm almost done with the Knights but I think the Shaggoth will get attention very soon Also I finished one unit with basing only snow left to do. My mate is gonna help me out with the snow cause I don't know how to do it. I also changed the star on the flag from black to gold, it stands out better this way, let me know what you think. | |

| The Forces of Unpleasantness are coming along VERY NICELY...if "nicely' can apply. The Sorcerer is TERRIFIC...I like the depth you got to the gold & the base enhances the mini. The change to gold on the standard was an EXCELLENT move; it really stands out against the dark red splendidly. Keep up the GREAT WORK & keep us posted! | |

| I really hope that Dragon Ogre will show up eventually, cuz' I know I SUCK at getting my centrepieces made... I have a Dark Eldar Raider still in its box... I havent dared to put it together as I am afraid I wont be able to do it justice with my quite lacking painting skills. This is also why most of my warband leaders never get painted, im just afraid to be let down, as I raise the bar for my painting skill with those kind of models. I hope you'll fare better |

| @Opheliate you gave me the mativation so I started with the Shaggoth yesterday. If you want to know my painting methods I will post them up for you and show you with a pic how I paint my models if you like. I use a very simple basic method cause I'm more into gaming then painting. I just paint the whole model in the colors I want, so the leather belt is brown and so on. When I'm done with painting everything the base color I take a bottle of black wash and paint everything I painted with it. Let it dry and you will see that it looks really good on the tabletop and you even have some shading on the model. Then later I add some highlights like I did with my warriors but with the Dwarfs you seen I don't do highlights I just leave them with basic colors and black wash. Just try it on a model and you will see it will turn out great. @Deafnala Thanx for the kind words when the whole army is done with painting and basing I will go to my mate and add snow to the bases to make them even look better | |

| Great looking army! I wish I had painted my Warriors of Chaos like that. By the way, is there any way you can change your avatar to something else? It keeps distracting me from looking at the miniatures. Joao | |

Oh I know of "dipping". Its a grea technique to paint fast. I might be an average painter, but I have been in the hobby for some dozens of years, and I am familiar with most techniques I just meant that I tend to raise the bar so much for my centrepieces, I tend to never do them at all. When I do them, yeah, result is often way better than expected, its just the question of actually getting the job done Anyways, I look forward seeing the shaggoth! |

| Actually I don't dip the models I use the black wash from GW and paint it with a brush. I think that gives a bteer effect. Anyway I ment no disrespect for your painting I juat wanted to give you some tips cause those tips I been getting from my mates and the forums I read were really helpfull Anyway thanx for motivating me to start painting my Shaggoth He will be done probably somewere next week I hope. Also did you paint that Warrior that is your avatar? | |

| Yes, I did, but that one is 6 years old I've learned a lot since then. I basically use the same tech as you, though I use Devlan Mud instead, it goes with ANY colors, and the occational Gryphonne Sepia for brighter colors and cloth. Yeah, I think "dipping" is misleading word, as, as I interpret it, you just cover the model in an ink. |

| When it comes to mass-painting, inks and washes are your FRIENDS. The WoC look great, and I look forward to seeing the Shaggoth. I'm in total agreement about larger models being a source of procrastination, but I can already tell he's gonna look GOOD. | |

| Nice Shaggoth! I really love that model, got one myself, but did not yet get around assembling and painting it for Mordheim... also, I am not sure if a little warband can stand against the beast | |

| Since I'm going to my first fantasy tournament next weekend I decided to make a warshrine cause I wante a better unit then a Shaggoth when I go to a tourny. Anyway since GW gave us that horrible one I decided to build one with my limited converting skill. Some tips would be nice to make it look more 'full'. The warrior is gonnabe painted as a statue cause he is a hero from the warband who got killed and they turned him into a statue, stuck him on a cart and went to town with him Hope you guys like it so far. | |

| The stuff looks cool. You're making EXCELLENT PROGRESS with The Project. GOOD WORK! With the War Altar, I think it would look cool to have the mummified/skeletal remains of the War Lord, still peering out from his Chaos armor, as the idol rather than a statue. Of course, you probably don't have the time prior to the Tourney, but, after, it might be something to consider. | |

| Thanx mate Your idea sounds really good, will have to see if I can find the bits and can make it. Those pics are from the tourny so I'm back to painting again although it is going slowly. I will make a pic of the new BSB hero for you to take a look at tomorrow or wednesday. | |

| This is my new Hero with BSB. My other BSB model is smaller then a normal warrior and since I always upgrade him with a shield I find it better for him to show his shield. Also this banner looks better then the standard banner and the whole model just looks better. | |
