Week 11 & 12 Highlight:

A gold trinket flies across the room... thrown by an unseen hand.
'The fighting goes on... The supplies have returned, but STILL they fight!
This chaos cannot continue... my reputation is at stake.'

'What do you propose we do, sire?'

'We cut off their means of violence. Send a message. All Guild activity in the Undercity
is to be put to an end IMMEDIATELY!'

'Very well sir.'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We apologize for our late delivery of the news, but everything should be back to normal as of this week. Week 11 and 12 kind of ran together, so there's a lot of reporting to get done.

Here's how things went down:

The Wings of the Phoenix (Mario) ran into some major trouble. Not only were they jumped by the Filthy Few (Jacob), but they had to deal with the fine men of the Adeptus Arbite Enforcer Squads. They were quickly driven away from that fight. They moved via Caravan to a drinking hole to drink away their shame, when a group of Chaos Cultists stormed the place. They were taken down then as well. Fleeing with all their members, they were set upon by the Ditch Witches (Alex). The odds continued to be against them, as they lost this fight as well. Now, dragging their feet, they make the unwise decision to ambush the Flesh Feasters Bounty Hunter team. The Hunters let loose with everything they had, and the Wings of the Phoenix were simply no match. They lost three members of their gang in the onslaught.
The following week, they were reeling from their previous bouts of misfortune, but managed to take out two groups of Eschers, and gunned down some Chaos Cultists for good measure. They lost yet another member in the fighting, however.

The Rockjawz Squat Mining team (Mark) did well for themselves, keeping their Pit Slave alive makes for some decent income. They first dealt with a group of Ash Waste Nomads near a Sump Spillage, but drove the dusty bastards back out where they belong. They then quickly took down a number of Escher gangers who found themselves Outland, and finally stopped to rest after dealing with a force of Orlocks.

The Takamada Inquisition (Ryan) purified three postings of House Escher members, further spreading the cleansing words of the Redemption. Their faith keeps them strong, and their numbers continue to grow.

The members of Vendetta (Matt) took out their aggression on the members of House Orlock, which is strange considering the two House's general standing with each other... could this be a signal of the end of their relationship?

The Spanish Inquisition (Mike) had an unfortunate run-in with the Flesh Feasters as well. They were routed and pushed out into Illuminati territory. After this loss, they managed to move into a neutral section where they set up a plan to jump into a brawl with the Ditch Witches over an Imperial Supply drop. The fates smiled upon the Redemption this day, as they managed to seize it for themselves.
Afterward, they, along with the Bounty Hunters, moved forward in a Pincer maneuver against the members of the Illuminati.

The Illuminati (Michael) moved back around the edges of their own territory to spread out a bit farther where they quickly took down a group of Ash Waste Nomads who were clearly MUCH farther into the Hive than anyone should have let them be, then a group of Squat Miners, but not before one of the stunties dive bombed them from on high. They then fought a number of Orks, driving the Greenskins back with little effort. Reports of them being 'yellow' are only slightly less accurate at this time.

The Flesh Feasters Bounty Hunters (Ian) met Chaos head on and quickly obliterated them with Heavy Weapons fire. Shortly afterward, they were ambushed by the Wings of the Phoenix. We know what happened there... Shortly after, they moved back into the hive and kicked in the door to a local Drinking Hole. Bite, with the aid of the Kroot Hounds made short work of all who were inside. Taking some R&R, they were jumped by the fire-headed members of the Spanish Inquisition. The Hunters held their ground. They then moved in to make their presence known to the Illuminati, as Teeth is not fond of them, but with the unfortunate problem of the Redemption following close behind. Sticking to their tactics, they managed to win the day.

The members of the Diesel Cooperative (Chris) made a violent strike against the members of the Adeptus Arbites, taking down four of their members and forcing them to flee. Deciding it unwise to stay in the public eye, they moved silently into two territories, and took them without conflict.

The Genestealers of House Dragon (Charles) continue to bump heads with the Redemption, managing to capture one of their members without much of a fight. They proceeded afterward to move into the territories of the Diesel Cooperative, and snagged them for their own benefit.

The Ditch Witches (Alex) went into battle against a group of Ash Waste Nomads, and emerged triumphant, but not without losing their Heavy in the process. In an attempt to jump, she lost her footing and was killed by impalement on a pipe below. They pressed forward and took two territories out from under the Illuminati.

The Filthy Few (Jacob) Fought to victory against the Wings of the Phoenix, moving quickly into a fight with a group of Eschers, and coming out of it with no casualties. They then came face to face with the members of the Bairn of Nurgle (Xeno). The Filthy Few were ambushed by the Spyrers of Hive Primus, and quickly made to look like amateurs. The Bairn of Nurgle continued to stand strong against the Spyrers until they, much like the Orlocks, were taken down.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
-- OBITUARIES --

The Wings of the Phoenix - Week 11
Joey:
Small and sweet, she was the flower of the wastelands.

Lester:
His artistic talents and love for grenades will be missed.

Tito:
His heroic tales of pinning 7 guys in 1 turn will be remembered greatly.

Wings of the Phoenix - Week 12
"Not another one.... not Big John... not that way! He deserved better than getting blown to bits by his own gun. He was rough around the edges but he had a good heart. To Big John *pours bottle of alcohol to the ground*"

The Ditch Witches could not be taught to write quickly enough for an obituary to be submitted.
Let it be known, the Heavy might... be missed...?

The Redemption continues in their Crusade, even with the devastating loss of their Deacon. Their
fury and faith reignited, they will carry on.

--------------------------------------------------------
- RULES ADDITIONS -

Trade Embargo: There are no more merchant caravans working from this point on in the Undercity. Gangs may only purchase equipment by rolling for rare trades off of the OUTLAW trade chart as presented in the Ratskins Codex/Fanatic Magazine #15. In addition, all prices for these items are doubled. In addition, all Guilder Caravans have stopped running, so you may not fast-travel using them any longer.
SPECIAL: Any members of the Redemptionists do not pay double, as a number of people working the trade stands are sympathizers to their cause. They pay regular price for anything they buy, but must still purchase using rare trades on the Outlaw chart.

Outland Caravan: You may attempt to hire a group of Underhive Scum to ferry you from place to place in the Outlands. You may only move to 'Power Cable Taps' and 'Clean Water Holes'. This will cost you 45 Credits. This may be done even if you are currently inside the Undercity. If you do this, roll a d6. On a roll of a '1', they kick you out into the Ash Wastes nearest to the territory you left from. You also lose 1 Gang Rating for allowing yourself to be duped.

---------------------------------------------------------
See everyone on Sunday!

EXCELLENT Report...the terrain, as always, is impressive; AND there seem to be a great percentage of nicely painted minis in the mix. GREAT STUFF! thumbsup

Week 13 Highlight:

"Has the order been given?"

"Yes Lord."

"Excellent..."

"They seem to be more furious than ever, sire... what if the fighting continues?"

"Let it...
The measures put in place now should control collateral damage. Let them all
kill each other, at least we'll be rid of them."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week 13 is over, and the Death Race was a decent success. Could've done with some ironing out, but I believe it could have simply been the number of vehicles in the race. It may have run faster with fewer cars per table.

Anyway, here's how things went.

A deathly quiet fell over the arena as the racers lined up. The race began, and a furious roar sounded, vehicles dart away from the starting line... and yet three other cars stay exactly where they started. A few moments later and everything was moving. The Squats (Mark) and the Spanish Inquisition (Mike) got out in front, quickly beset upon by The Wings of the Phoenix (Mario). The Bairn of Nurgle (Xeno) and The Illuminati (Michael) covered the outside track.

The Spanish Inquisition gets out to an early lead only to be struck from behind by The Wings of the Phoenix, and eventually slowed to a crawl by the powerful weapons of the Squats. The Phoenix don't stay in the running much longer as a tractor piloted by the Ditch Witches (Alex) strikes them from behind.

The Filthy Few (Jacob), arriving late to the starting gate get their vehicle moving, when a number of landmines explode with fabulously little effect. The Takamada Inquisition (Ryan) finally get started, and keep up the rear behind the other racers, but quickly make a target out of the Chaos Cult.

Many of the vehicles end up out of the running due to a massive pileup from all the ramming and twisted metal going on midway down the track, leaving the Rockjawz set up for an easy victory. Things aren't always what they seem, however, as the Bairn of Nurgle made short work of the Squats' engine, slowing them down, and seizing victory from their disproportionate hands.

The Squats turn all of their fury on the Cultists, crippling their vehicle with lasblasts, driving them into a wall, and destroying half the foul Nurglings supporting the Palanquin.

This leaves a quick neck-and-neck between the Ditch Witches, and the Illuminati. It's literally down to the wire as the Illuminati manage to eke out that small amount of extra speed to take first place!

Week 14 Highlights:

The doors fly quickly open. The assistant runs in... sweating, and panicking...

'Lord! They're coming! They're moving up the Hive! Surely they'll ki-
L... Lord Helmawr??'

The chamber stands empty. The assistant's words echo off of the walls.
The massive window overlooks a scene of violence unseen in the Hive since the outbreak of the plague.

The assistant runs quickly to the escape hatch, and finds the shuttle gone. Deserted by his Lord, he slinks back to his
quarters. There is an autopistol on the desk.

The doors of the room slide closed, and a pistol's report rings through the halls...
Then there was silence...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 14 went reasonably well, even though there were a few absences. Hopefully everyone will be down for the final week! Soon the winner will be decided!

Let's get down to business then. --

The Illuminati (Michael) quickly made their way into the Ash Wastes in order to get a few more licks in. In an unfortunate turn of events, the Rockjawz Squats (Mark) were unceremoniously dumped into the same section of the Ash Wastes by some unscrupulous scummers running a caravan service. The fight was close, but it was over quickly. The Squats, not wanting to suffer any heavy losses thought it best to retreat.

The Filthy Few (Jacob) were ambushed by a number of Genestealer purestrains loosed in the Undercity. None can be sure if they were offspring of House Dragon, but the Filthy Few made short work of them.

The Flesh Feasters Bounty Hunter troupe (Ian) seemed to be holding a grudge against the Spanish Inquisition (Mike) and ambushed them twice. In both fights, it seemed much like shooting fish in a barrel, as the expertise of the bounty hunters allowed them to stalk their prey and get the jump on them each time. In an unprecedented display of honor and respect, each of the leaders of the Rockjawz, the Illuminati, and the Filthy Few were seen around the feasting fires with the Bounty Hunters.

The Bairn of Nurgle (Xeno) seemed to completely outmaneuver the men of the Adeptus Arbites, taking them down quickly and moving on. Reports say that this was the heaviest amount of losses suffered by the police force in some time.

House Dragon (Charles) played it safe and struck out against the Diesel Cooperative, taking one of their territories without a fight.

Vendetta (Matt) of House Escher suffered heavy losses at the hands of House Orlock. It does seem that the long held truce between the two Houses could indeed be strained. It is not yet known if this will turn into a full-fledged political backlash, but time will tell.

At this time, the whereabouts of the Takamada Inquisition (Ryan), the Diesel Cooperative (Chris), the Ditch Witches (Alex) and the Wings of the Phoenix (Mario) are unaccounted for. More updates to come as information provides!

Final Week Highlights:

The fighting had been constant, and finally, months later, it reached it's apex. No longer was it
simply about resources and land. All sense had long since disappeared.

Gangs from all walks charged Hive Primus from beneath. They broke through the great metal seal, pouring
up through the opening like a massive insect infestation.
The carnage was immense. Bystanders as well as those of the Necromundan Houses became swept under in a tide of violence and blood.
Even amid this sheer chaos, the venomous horde had one target. The Palatine, the palace of Lord Helmawr himself.

'Quickly! All available Enforcers move to protect the Palatine! All who can handle a gun, you have hereby been
called to service. Do not let them pass, under penalty of death!'

One gang in particular, The Illuminati of House Delaque, saw this grand opportunity and seized it immediately, picking up
arms against their rivals.

The remaining members of House Helmawr pulled together a massive force.
Mercenaries from the Houses of Goliath, Escher, Orlock and Van Saar stood ready to give their life for their Governor.
The Kroot Bounty Hunters of the Flesh Feasters stood proud with the house to whom they pledged loyalty. Their
cunning and expertise would prove vital in the confrontation.
Also in force were the steel-willed men of the Adeptus Arbites. They stood strong as a shining bulwark in this dark hour.

The screaming mob approached, and the alliances had been forged.
The Takamada and Spanish Inquisitions coalesced into a gargantuan frothing Crusade of anger and flame.
The Squats of the Rockjawz banded together with the Orlock miners of the Filthy Few, who themselves took this
opportunity to unite with an age old house ally, The Ditch Witches of House Escher.
The Wings of the Phoenix, in a desperate bid for survival, made loose ties with the alien menace of House Dragon,
and the Diesel Cooperative, unknowing, made quick arrangements with their brothers from House Delaque, none other
than the Illuminati.

There was a cold stillness as the battle loomed... and from out of the shadows, the Spyrers watched, and waited.

The silence was broken by mechanical rumbling. Tensions heightened in anticipation of the source of the noise.
Then they saw it...

Two massive Rapier Cannons rolled out in service to the Guilders. Their shining magnificence a testament to the raw power
afforded to those in service to the Emperor.

The Guilder leader spoke, a haughty arrogance in his voice.
'There is still time to end this... You will not win. Why not go back to your miserable lives and we can cease this ugliness
before someone gets hurt...'

A gunshot rang out, punctuating the sentence...
First blood was drawn as Orlock fired upon Orlock, with the Wings of the Phoenix taking down a mercenary.

'It seems we are at an impasse. Very well... Let them see what we are capable of. Attack! Attack!'
The order now given, the battle began. A swirling maelstrom of bodies and clashing weapons overtook the Hive, accompanied
by a cacophonous roaring that shook the very pillars that held aloft the Palatine.

The Spyrers descended upon the fight, and the Bairn of Nurgle was there to meet them. The power of Chaos was strong with them,
and they would not back down.
A loud retort sounded as the Rapier Cannons made their presence known once again, vaporizing a ganger into particulate.

Hours passed, leading into days, and it seemed as if neither side would gain ground. The Bairn of Nurgle was dwindling when one of
their number struck out, causing one of the Rapier Cannons to explode in an array of smoke and debris. The members of the Illuminati finally
made their loyalties apparent when they fired upon their former ally, and the Diesel Cooperative made them the primary target of a well deserved
hail of plasma fire.

The combined might of the cult of the Redemption came crashing down in a red wave atop the Diesel Cooperative, catching them with a
devastating gout of cleansing flame.
The Illuminati fought valiantly for Helmawr and the Guilders, their loyalty now without question. The men clad in black bring their fury
down upon the Bairn of Nurgle, dealing a crushing blow to their front line.

The back-and-forth continued, but was again interrupted. Men toting Lasguns and artillery, clad in grey and black stormed in. As they
approached, the arachnid tattoos they bore became apparent. They did not look like traditional guardsmen, but they were also not
civilians...

The Spiders... a Hive Gang now known as the Necromundan 8th Imperial Guard Regiment had arrived to protect their homeworld. With
extreme precision, they make short work of most of House Dragon, and set their sights on the Squats. The renowned toughness and
advanced technology possessed by the abhumans allow the Squats to hold their ground. Lasblasts and Autocannon fire flew from every direction,
but neither the Spiders nor the Squats backed down.

The Adeptus Arbites, as is their ultimate duty stood their ground alongside the Guilders' forces, ready to die if need be. They hold steady,
guarding the only exit as their masters try to make their escape.

Another voice called over the battlefield...
'We of Armageddon come to aid our Sister Hive World!'
The Steel Legion... Men hardened in many battles against waves of Orks now took up arms against the oppressors to the Hive.
They assaulted from the rear, tying up many of the remaining gangs while the Bounty Hunters released their Kroot Hounds with
a gnashing of jaws. The Kroot, untouched throughout the conflict, took no mercy on any who got in their way.

Bodies now littered the battlefield. Gangers, Guilders, Mercenaries and innocents alike.
The histories would tell of the sheer horror of these events for decades to come.

The Bairn of Nurgle were the first to be eliminated, striking a hard blow to the uprising, but the fighting continued.
Alliances were a thing of fiction now... the battle had degenerated into sheer madness. None could reliably stand together in this bloody melee...

One by one, the gangs went down.
The Wings of the Phoenix, holding out against impossible odds, fought to the last man.
House Dragon tried with everything in them to stand against the 8th Regiment's attack, but ultimately they would not prevail.
It would not be much longer, and this would be ended.
The Ditch Witches fought back to back with the Filthy Few, holding off unending tides of Guardsmen from the Steel Legion, and just when it seemed
like it could be over for them, the loud whine of jet engines could be heard.

Soon, Valkyries could be seen overhead, and tanks approached. The full might of the Imperial Guard now descended upon Hive Primus.
Cannon fire and missiles bombarded the city. Drop troopers fell from above.
A cleanup team formed of six full regiments brought the fury of the Emperor to the rioting hordes. The Guilders were ushered to safety,
and all others were simply targets...
This Hive was too valuable to lose to a bunch of upstart revolutionaries.

After all was done, the Hive laid dormant. Plumes of black smoke billowed from the holes in the structure.

For months, none dared resettle. Those who hadn't escaped off-world simply evacuated into the wastes.
Only time will tell how long it will take for Primus and the Palatine to reclaim their former glory, but for now, there was peace...
