| Hi - new to mordheim. Very excited about starting a campaign with my friends. We play friendly games of Warhammer and lately have been interested in starting Mordhiem. My wife and i are most interested in the terrain and stuff - especially as former model train geeks. My friends will play shadow warriors, wood elfs, lizards, goblins, khemri -- yeah, yeah... i know, these guys were not at the real mordheim but we don't really care as long as the teams are fairly even. We are not against using house rules to make the teams even if necessary but generally we are not whiners and play to have fun. I am interested in using the black dwarf warband rules from chaos-dwarf online border town burning. Has anyone used that? | |

Uhm? Fairly even? Well, opinions and experience differ, but I deem Shadow Warriors and Lizardmen the most powerful (I'd even say unfair) warbands published by GW. Shadow Warriors even lost their "official" status. Khemri, on the other side, features the lowest power level warbands of all settings. This might turn out disappointing for the Khemri player(s)... - black mantis wrote:

The Chaos Dwarfs were play(test)ed against the normal warbands from the rulebook, other official warbands and the other BTB warbands. They should work just fine, although they might struggle a bit against Lizardmen and SW, just like some others in your group. But you will only find out by actually playing. There is so much luck involved in Mordheim... a few Serious Injuries here... some unlicky combat throws there... and even the potentially strongest warband will lose against Tomb Guardians. If you have any questions regarding the Border Town Burning supplement, you can post them here, or visit the website at http://bordertownburning.de.vu. Lastly, if you do choose to build a Chaos Dwarf warband, then this might interest you. Enjoy your stay on the forum and have fun playing! | |
