| Looks good indeed though, on next posts.. maybe try and resize your pictures before you post them... say to a 600/800 pixel ratio? easier to watch, get the overall idea, and enjoy without scrolling! | |

| A good program for batch conversion (resizing, gamma etc) is irfanView. _________________ | |

| Sorry for the dimensions of photos, I will keep that in mind next time.
Do not hesitate to criticize my painting, I take very well the criticism and would not take offence ^^.
For the 1st photo, the one on the right is a witch hunterfrom 40K that I converted, I stuck him(her) a shield in the back to hide the pack, cut the pistol and Voila, I had an OK conversion.

| Interesting technique.... you paint everything first and highlight by drybrushing in white. I had never thought of that While it seems like a very clever way to get your models done quickly, you will get better contrast and more realism if you use a more progressive approach. Meaning: that you build up layers successively from the darkest to the brightest. The "jump" from one colour to pure white can be a bit harsh. _________________ | |

| I do the same thing, drybrush everything in white, sometimes as well. i always use at least one layer of regular highlights before hand of course.
I developed this technique while working on my chaos traitors (all 12 of them!). before the white drybrush i would give them a black wash as well. the overall effect was muted, and dusty looking.
So yeah i think it is a valid painting style, as Thorvald has illustrated, good job!
Edit: I just realized the delaque i use as my avatar has the same white drybrush, minus the black wash. Recently i have been using bleached bone all over instead, it looks more natural on fantasy figures.

It seems familiar but converted? That's Wilhelm of Witch Hunters Johann & Wilhelm fame; he's a "classic" Dogs of War mini. Hey Thorvald, Nice looking Witch Hunters! The conversions you did on the 40K Inquisitor & Priest are really well done, very Mordheimerish. Nice as these guys are, when compared to your newer Wolfen, the evolution of your painting technique comes across VERY DRAMATICALLY. See practice makes perfect . WELL DONE! BRAVO! ENCORE!
