| Hey peeps I'm making a ruined building atm, and just recently added a small balcony to one of the sides - which has resulted in the building tipping over, if any metal-models is placed on the balcony Pics: Any ideas of what I can do to add some weight to the opposite site, but without making it visible? Adding a base to the building is not an option, as I want my buildings to be as modular as possible. (EDIT: added the correct img-links) | |

| Having a base wich doesn't protrude over the edge of the building could work, imagine a L-shape with a third line added between the two ends. That's all I can think of. :/

| Add a pile of rubble inside the building to act as a counterweight. | |

| Thanks for the suggestions guys! But 2/3 of them adds a base to the building, which I'm hoping to avoid. I was thinking of maybe adding some sort of metal to the inside of one of the walls, to add the counterweight, but I'm not sure whether it'll work or not.. I was also thinking of adding some support-pillars(of a kind), going from the bottom of the balcony to the playing surface (only attached to the balcony, of course). But I still haven't really come up with a final solution.. | |

| OK, if you don't want a base - even a small isosceles triangle of rubble in the dead space of the interior corner of the building - what about adding some weight under the first floor? Some joists (supporting beams), for instance. If you make them out of something with a bit of weight, this might solve your problem. | |

| allright mester, think i can help! Well, the first thing i thought about ( i would do that straight away !) is adding some metal bars or strips of enormous weight ( such as lead ) inside thise foamcore wallsections . Its foam, so just squeeze them parts where you need the extra weight until it sits down again, just go on and on. I know that lead is hard to get in denmark, tryed it for myself once, but some old kleinsmed in köbenhavn burde know where to get it or even has some, try amager, or vesterbro. You could also, instead of lead, try some mönter and insert them instead, just try them before you glue them into place, and after the touch up, there wont be anything hidden inside visible!! What do you say?! I hope i could help here, regards, floedebolle _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? | Thanks floedebolle I thougth about something like this as well, and after you suggested it, I think thats what I'll go for! Now I just have to get the lead.. If I can't get any lead/something-small-but-heavy I might have to put on a base.. I'd like to get the building functional before my next game of Mordheim, which should be in the weekend, or sometime next week, hmm.. | |

I know English 2pence pieces have a fair weight to them?

Coins would work as well - but danish coins aren't really that heavy, so it would take a fair amount of coins to put on the counterweight of a metal-mini.. I'm trying something out atm, I'll post an update when I'm done with it

| How about a fireplace? It can be as blasted as you want, and you can fill the inside with a small rock or lead (fishing gear is a good place for cheap, small pieces of lead). Just glue a strip of foamcore on the outside and two or more strips on the inside (to account for the floors), then make a small fireplace at the bottom. Decorate with cardboard "bricks" and you're done.
Another (simpler) option is making a pile of logs (for a hypothetical fireplace) on the outside of the house. You can put any bit of weight inside it and it shouldn't be visible. Good luck, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Do post!

| Okay, so I've found the solution that fits me the best (I hope): BUT instead of adding counterweight, I added... STABILITY! - Spoiler:

| I was about to add ladder up to the balcony as my suggestion. Plus means the pesky archers aren't as safe as they think! | |
