| Wow! Sweet! Thanks for all the pics.
How did you do the bow string? Fishing line and super glue?

| I purchased the bowmen with string off ebay. If I am assuming right it was ones that GW painted and sent out to stores to display Warhammer Fantasy Skirmish. The ebay auction noted it was painted by GW and the only ones I know of that they painted and set to stores was for the Warhammer Skirmish display back in 2001. Back to your question, it feels like fishing line and looks like they used super glue. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15769907@N07/ | |

| Wow! thanks for posting those! Do I see the model with the keg in there? . Looks good, and yes, you are right, they do have that quality i'm looking for. And now, I've gone quite insane. I looked through the old Empire State troops that I have, and simple though they are, there may be some potential. So i'm working on a tester for these guys, he may or may not be in the Warband proper. But, now that I've Piqued your interest, when I have pics, I'll post in the Painting and Modeling section. | |

| have you though of looking to the lord of the rings range? I can't find any good pictures of the Warriors of Harad but i think they may look good with head swaps and chainmail sculpted. The problem with LotR (and from what i hear the Perry miniatures) is that the scale is more realistic, so using hands and heads from warhammer figures looks ridiculous. I believe that the scales are the same for Perry and LotR figures because they sculpted most of them as well. | |

| Yes, that is a keg. I hope you noticed I put Lizardmen Shields and Khemri shields on some of them.
This was to give the conquering and looting image.
One Knight, I have a Marauder sword to note the looting and picking up stuff along the way.
There were some Reikland models made some years ago that were knights on foot.

| Hey, I like that knight! Looks so much better than the generic bretonnians on foot. "800 were made", huh? Sounds like it'll be expensive on ebay.. | |

| That is exactly why I don't have one. LOL. I won't pay that much for a model.
I have paid $40 for only two models.

| It's converted from Warhammer marauder and chaos warrior bits. Purely citadel and green stuf. Made by these guys who have some crazy ebay auctions on ebay regularly (ie weekly). Like this one recently, which sold for 151 EUR (that's 227 USD for you): They do take comissions and those are usually cheaper than what the same mini sells on ebay. Have a look at their gallery on their website I linked above. There's some cool stuff in there. | |

Yeah, me too. Three of my marauders are from them. They would, of course, convert som excellent Bretonnian on foot as well.

| Wow! Lots of great stuff in that website! Unfortuneatly I think it would be cost inhibitive for me to commision an entire warband. I'd love to, but the (teeny tiny) conservative part of me is screaming in terror. That marauder IS amazing though, and I was wondering where your Tchar champion came from . On a more related note, (to the Knights that is), I think I may settle on using the Perry Minis knights with a few head swaps from the haradrim. I tried sculpting a tabard over an Empire state trooper and it turned out nowhere near what I had hoped. Oh well, the chainmail DID turn out OK, so I can add that to my repetoire. In other news, my Space Marines are being sold, among a few other things, so I will have funding for my various projects. Within the next couple of weeks I'm hoping to order the minis needed for this project, along with some other bits and bobs for another as yet unrevealed project. Anyways, thanks as always. | |

| Commissioning an entire warband would definately be cost intensive. But I can recommend trying it for one miniature at least. Having a super cool model as the warband leader will motivate you and make you love your warband even more. | |
