| Looks awesome. Keep with it! My problem is always that I can get started and then get bogged down in the steps of texture and painting and finishing... We've been having a foam converation in this thread thanks to Pervavita's questions which you may have read, but just to reitterate: Don't use spray paint on your foam! I've heard horror stories of people not knowing and ruining a hard days work. No offense meant if you already knew that. Just wanted to make sure you're aware. -rhuntar | |

| Hey qboid, I am very happy (and more than a little proud) to be such inspirational ... !!! Nonetheless, this is a very good start. May be just a little more "oblique" carving on the top of the walls. It will be -IMO- more easy to move the minis inside these caverns. But, once again : a great start ! I shall be very happy to see the development of this thread ! Jacques | |

| That is a FINE START to what from appearances should be a GREAT gaming board. As someone who has crawled through numerous poor looking dungeon adventures, it will be cool watching this develop. SO...keep up the GOOD WORK!

| Thanks for the comments and suggestions guy's. Jacques, great idea about cutting angles into the tops of the "walls", i will definitely do that. Rhuntar, i have just started painting an old GW Mighty Fortress (ebay for £10 ) and i under coated, dry brushed etc, then spray varnished a wall. The varnish obviously found all the tiny spots i had missed and did "melt" into it, but overall it sort of made it look really old. The second and third ones i was more careful about sealing with the base coat and they have turned out better. It did show me how careful you have to be. The only problem i have now is getting time to do more, as i need the other half and kids out of the house, so i can use a jigsaw in the kitchen without getting in too much trouble! Our Spawn Hunting campaign cant start without a full 16 underground tiles made, so i have to make time somewhere. I need a wargames basement! | |

| also nice! I'm working a more "urban" version of the same concept I like where you're going and like I posted elsewhere, I can see myself with minis and dice and playing 2 cents: I would use 1/4" plywood for edges for durability but that's just a preference, not a critique... much love | |

HA! I think the same way (although I only have the wife to worry about atm). While I am lucky enough to have a basement workspace and playspace, I got exponentially more done last week when my wife was out of town on work for four days and I could set up a card table in the living room in from of the TV. The rainy weather here has been killing my terrain progress with no spray priming and no dremel work in the house (when the wife is home... )

| Hot damn! That is one cool gaming board! My girlfreind and i are talking about making a board of 12 1''x1'' pieces (4x4) we plan to do a more traditional "Mordheim setting" though. Doubt i can get my group into dungeon building Please post some "action pics" once you start playing | |

| Thanks for the comments guy's.
I can't wait to play games with it all either, and VK, i do intend on having a campaign battle report thread once we begin. Battle Reports is my favourite part of this forum, so i have always wanted to document one of our campaigns.

| Last 4 sections, once finished, the campaign can begin, woohoo! Bottom left is going to be a chasm with bridge across it, bottom right might be narrow walkways above lava, but that might be too bad for models falling into it, so it might be water instead. Then again, falling into the chasm would have to be an auto OOA anyway, that's probably deadly enough. Top right is going to be water, with stepping stones. The gaps will have to be jumped over. | |

| LOOKIN' GOOD! The chasm & the water effect are things I'd like to see; they should add a lot both visually & to the game. You're making FINE progress: keep up the GOOD WORK! | |
