| Has anyone played Super Dungeon Explore yet? I finally got a chance to play recently and I love it! It's a board game, but it feels a lot like a miniatures game. Especially since I spent nearly 6 hours assembling miniatures before playing. If you haven't seen Super Dungeon Explore yet it is a very modular board game with a ton of chibi animeish miniatures (that actually look pretty cool when painted up). The game is played with one player as the Consul, controlling all the monsters, and all other players as the Heroes attempting to destroy the spawning points and kill the boss. It's a ton of fun! I've put up a full review on my blog: http://tabletopgeeks.com/review-super-dungeon-explore/I think this game might appeal to quite a few people here as it has a bit of a skirmish game feel to it, so I'm curious to hear some thoughts. | |

| This, like most Dungeon Adventures, is Fantasy... SO it really belongs in the Fantasy Shout Out Section, where I'm moving it. | |

| Thanks, I almost put it there but I wasn't sure it was quite considered "fantasy" since the style was fairly different than most fantasy stuff. | |

| No problem, Svenn! Moving threads around justifies my existence here...to a degree. The game has a fair number of followers over on the Lead Adventure Forum: http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=34886.0It seems to be a pretty good game. The minis, HOWEVER, I find to be SO incredibly saccharine that they make my teeth hurt; I get visions of My Little Pony whenever I look at them...of course that could just be me; I HATE Reaper's Mouselings too. | |

| I like them because they are so different from anything I am used to. It's nice to break out of the same style of stuff into something a bit different. Yeah, many of the models are very "cutesy" but it doesn't really bother me. It helps that I don't mind the style of anime as well. | |

| Funny thing is I like most anime myself; although for animation I prefer Tim Burton's style. As an alternate style, Urban Mammoth's War Heads would be more the thing for moi: Wyrd's Puppet Wars would also be a possibility. | |

| I got the box for Christmas and I'm currently assembling and painting the minis. I haven't tried the game yet but for me it's all about the minis. I really like Soda Pop Miniatures, feel like a breath of fresh air after decades of Fantasy stuff. | |

| That certainly is a BEAUTIFULLY DONE piece. The other photos only show just how lovely the brushwork is...thanks for the link. There is one thing that can not be denied about all the Soda Pop creations, & that is they do appeal to some ubertalented painters. While the minis don't appeal to moi, the level of artistry lavished on them definitely does...appeal that is. | |

| Your mage shaped up nicely, different color scheme than I've seen on her before. I don't have the game but it's on my wishlist. Trouble is I don't have a real reliable group of gamers to play with, so I don't know when I'd actually get the figures on the board. Makes it hard to justify the purchase, but I do really like the look of the game and have heard that the planned expansion is supposed to feature "rock turtles" as the main villain. I think there's also supposed to be a dwarf miner hero. | |

| That's not my mage, just one I found online to show off. I have yet to paint mine... Yeah, I'm excited for the expansions. Not only do they look cool but the game is really set up perfect for adding new content. | |

| Yeah, she was a pre-order bonus originally, but they put her up for individual purchase recently. I've got her, pretty interesting character. | |

| If memory serves me, Candy & Cola were the first minis that Soda Pop put out. I wonder what the game would be like if they had gone with their original size & style. | |

| Well, they are releasing rules for a new game soon, Relic Knights, that will use the regular full size models instead of the chibi style ones. I'm curious to see how that plays out. http://rk.sodapopminiatures.com/These are some very ridiculous minis. | |
