Ha! no planning here...move along. I basically have an idea and start hacking. (That's why most of my buildings are 20mm too tall for my storage boxes.)

Okay, thanks... but... pink insulation foam is white inside? It looks white... Have you got painted pictures of the kind of houses? This must look nice! I tried tu use blue insolation foam to make such pieces but this is too soft. When a brutal friend put a mini on it, the ground keeps shape of the base... is the pink foam harder? Or am I just dumb?

Or am I just dumb? it's like a very salmony skin tone, the white areas is just normal foamcard. you have to be careful when buying foams. i've noticed basic white style expanded foam being coloured in various DIY stores. Pink foam is quite hard to cut. (the GW foam cutter struggles to cut it)

| This looks absolutely awesome!
When you use a pencil to make the bricks and stone effects, are you pressing hard enough to dent the foam, or is it more just drawn and thats it done?
Do you paint the foam (for the brick and stone effects) and if so is that before or after you use the pencil?
Sorry if these are silly questions, I would just love to be able to do something even half as well as you have and what I am trying looks very bad so far.

ta. the pencil (or can be Biro too) dents the foam. then the piece gets painted. images attached so far, are all unpainted. the plan is to get the ball rolling on this again soon. (with actual Painted images)

| Thanks again for the info and tips BK!. I tried yesterday using the pen and it is looking brilliant already, much better than when I tried a pencil as it would not dent enough or I broke the lead. @drakkol: Do It! | |

| When I see work such as these, it makes me want to quit my job, lock myself up in my game/hobby room and spend the rest of my life painting miniatures and putting them in an appropriate setting using terrain pieces as beautiful as yours!
I cant wait to see this marvelous creation sport some color...
