Dark elf warband (wip)

Hello,

Im Oscar and im from the netherlands been playing around with the hobby for several years(10-12)
and recently got back into mordheim, we are about to start a new campaign at our lgs and i thought it might be nice if id share some of our stuff. First up is my dark elf warband that i intend to use in the campaign.

Heres a small update..

First up is the newest member to this band of merry cruel sadistic elves, a shade with rbx and axe:


offcourse still in desperate need of a lick of paint

Then we have the now so good as finished 1st lordling with a sword, dagger and rbx:


And still very wip my 2nd lordling being worked on as we speak:

Very nice! I really like the skin of the sorceress and Lelith's dress It's a fantastic model, too. Though I looked at the Avatars of War sorceress recently and the resemblance is striking The last pics are a little badly lit, though, it's hard to make out the quality painting.

Excited to see more of this.

Great models! I really love the new Dark Elves, with all their sharp spikes and blades and stuff, and your colour scheme absolutely underlines their character. Espescially the contrast between the dark armour and the poisonous green parts are superb.

Oh, and the Sea Dragon Cloaks, too! You made them look like real skin, that's pretty cool!

I love the idea, and the dark eldar bitch fits perfectly.... although I hate dark elves

Yeap very striking resemblance to the avatars of war fig.. though a bit less nude (more classy??) still undecided about her hair colour.. might highlight it up a lil with some greys and maybe some white streaks(correctly spelled?) in there, will try to make some better lit pics with a white background and stuff like the original pics.. though its pretty hard to make quality pics with a cellphone.

yeah really depends on my mood how i like that.. theres times where i find it absolutely awesome and times where the transistion just doesnt cut it in my eye.. might redo it in some time and give a try at wet-blending it instead of just washing and highlighting.. offcourse im open to suggestions on this part.. Not completely confident in my blending skills either.. a example of me wet-blending is the loincloth on my sorc which i think turned out pretty damn good.. but opinions may differ..

Anyways better quality(i hope) pics inc. and maybe a test model with wetblended scaly green-to-skin sea dragon cloaks.

Soo long time no update so heres a biggie one

My Dark elf warband is pretty much finished now:

Also our 26man mordheim campaign is now in its 9th week allready! and i have some pics to share of some of the warbands that are in it!

1st up our infamous goblin warband(who are quite prone to killing theirselves more often then their enemys)


2nd the houseruled assasin warband of the great lgs owner that lets us use his space a lot! Thanks thanks Christopher!


3rd is our only competing pit fighters warband from Bas


4th the sling toting wyrdstone munching skaven warband from Hadde


5th the sneaky treacherous shadow warriors from Sam!


Excuse me for some of the pics they turned out a bit blurry. Loads more pictures of warbands and battles incoming in the near future!

Also we've hit a bit of a scenery building spree at the lgs so i wanted to share some of our efforts on those too!

This is one of the many wip ruined buildings we are currently making its still only in undercoat but paint is inc!

haha thanks, the demon prince is in fact not part of the assasin warband just wasnt bothered to move him aside for the pic

You weren't kidding; that is an IMPRESSIVE update...especially since I missed the update before this. While it seemed to take forever for the photos to upload, it was worth the wait. All your pieces (especially the Green Guys) look TERRIFIC. I LOVE the bookcase. WELL DONE!

That's a great warband and nice color choices for dark elves. I love the bookshelf, how did you make it?

The bookcase is really easy to make with just a sheet of thick cardboard and matchbook sticks, i hihglighted this one today
so ill get some pics tomorrow and Im sure ill make some more so ill to try to put together a how-to
Tomorrow i have a big 4man multiplayer for our campaign against middenheimers,skaven and beastman so ill try to make loads of pictures and make a nice battle report out of it.
