| Call to Arms looks brilliant. Has anyone had any experience of the previous one: are there many people that turn up, is it a fun campaign to play in? It looks like it might be a fun way to spend a weekend. | |

| They had an article about it in Fanatic #8. It looked to be a lot of fun, some very well known players, like Ian Davis & Terry Maltman, were involved, AND Bugman's was close at hand, if you enjoy hoisting a pint or two. There were only eight guys playing, which may or not be a plus with you.

Hmm, that's a good point. I suppose eight is an ok size for a get-together campaign, maybe twelve is better. I'm trying to drum up some support up here in the North West, with little success yet.

I feel your pain, Bro. I've talked up two viable, on-going groups of Mordheimers neither of which will have me as a member[I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member, anyway ];re, dealing with someone who can't hear can be difficult/annoying [I know it's annoying for me ]. Oh, well I sell them terrain, so it's not a total loss.

| So... you're really deaf?
I can't imagine why that should exclude you, though. I mean, in a game of mordheim, most things are fairly visual, or can easily be communicated as such...
...well, their loss, in my opinion.

...well, their loss, in my opinion. Yep I am, but keep it quiet . I totally lost it [the hearing amongst other things that is] gradually over a span of forty years; SO I can communicate verbally, AND lip read, but, even so, I'm often forced to ask folks to repeat themselves. It can be an annoyance, & does prohibit a lot of the comaraderie endemic of gaming. Generally I view it as a blessing: I've learned to listen & not merely hear& I can speed read captioning in talky movies. AND it could be worse; it could be raining [thunder clap, sound of torrential rain ].

| Ah, I see then.
But it still shouldn't deprive you of gaming.

| Well, DeafNala, if they won't let you join because of that then they probably aren't worth playing with anyway. But I suppose if they're paying you to build terrain you'll be the one laughing - all the way to the bank. | |

GOOD IDEA hidden in there;i.e., our little community is blessed with a few fine gaming clubs [the prolific AND Ubertalented lads from Manchester & Poole spring to what passes for my mind ]. PERHAPS they might be coaxed into having a challenge event akin to Blessed Tom, Light of Sigmar's Big Meet Up.

- Excellent find on my words, our plots growing Nala,
I'm not really one who gives advice: I've found, if you listen to someone's difficulties often enough they'll hear themselves give the solution . Now that G.W. in their Infinite Wisdom [ ] has withdrawn their support of the BEST GAME THEY EVER CAME UP WITH, it falls to us devoted fans of THE GAME to pick up the torch & run with it. I'll bet we do a BETTER JOB OF IT too! Perhaps our own Fearless Leader, Blessed Tom, Sigmar's Light could post a "how I did it" on the Big Meet Up & phrase a challenge/ dare to one of the aforementioned GAMING CLUBS OF RENOWN to pick up the gauntlet. God, but I LOVE Machivellian Plots !

| Good keep us informed! as I would love to attend! further more, yes, it is called Holland or the Netherlands nowadays, whereas in the old days, the Netherlands were all the "lowlands" accumulated into one, meaning Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg of today, the romans came up with that name for us... we didn't really bother too much.. hehe. Later on, Holland (the western three provinces of today's holland - Noord Holland, Zuid Holland and Utrecht) became rather wealthy due to trade with the rest of europe at the expense of the East Indies and the "West Indies" meaning the America's and particularly the slave trade with those countries... yes we were some evil sons of .... Holland was a tolarant little country, accepting every religion, believe or superstition, as long as it was good for the trade, got wealthy, and Belgium succumbed to the catholic will of france and spain, thus seperating itself from Holland. and later on from Luxembourg, and now they're trying to seperate from themselves yet again.. hehe seems no-one really likes them So as a fact, the Netherlands is still the accumulation of countries here, as we have no mountains, and are for a large part below sea level (down about 5 meters below sea level... hurray for global warming!!) Holland is the part where I live (western part of my country actually, but we've become known as both, due to financial and social succeses over the last centuries... but around here, we call ourselves Nederland, and its inhabitants Nederlanders, where the dutch part came from... I have no Idea... though sadly it features in a lot of proverbs in which it's not allways used to our benefit! hahaha (jealous other countries made them up... mainly the english... as we beat them a couple of times in naval battles and economic persiverance) there now you know how to adress us properly, and why to do so. | Ohhh I feel the need to battle you! I think I'll prefer Germany then.. hehe, and yah... a lot of the jokes and proverbs, sadly are based on most of our behaviour (going dutch is probably the best example) BUT, having a Belgian in our midst opens up new oppurtunities! haha! ohhh the jokes I know XD | |

| @atzerath: do you happen to know that one of the skills the dutch are known for is handeling water? it seems that we know how to build (WORKING) Dams and I believe the USA even hired a DUTCH company to drain New Orleans, so I personnaly think we won't even HAVE to run and it's Dutch people, not Dutchlanders. and as Ezekiel ended his post, I know A lot of (based?) jokes too (Ps. please don't take it as offence, it's just a joke ) _________________ ..and by a roll of the dice you go under..
