Awesome stuff to do for a friend visiting Europe

Alrighty a friend of mine is planning to visit france and germany, ireland, and the UK minus wales next year.She is looking for awesome main cities and medieval site (castles ect) to visit She doesnt wargame so dont even mention it.

Secondly, sorry I havnt been on a while been tied up with my social life (yes I have one, no jokes please) Laughing

For Germany the Neuschwanstein Castle comes to mind. But it's pretty far away from the main city Berlin - and pleeease... Bavaria does not equal Germany. There's more than Oktoberfest and Dirndls. Smile

I don't know if she's going to Dorset, but: Corfe Castle (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-corfecastle)!

Also: don't want to reinforce a stereotype, but if she's American warn her that England is actually quite big. (Funny story: a, taxi driver, friend of mine picked someone up at Heathrow and was asked to drive them to Dublin, the American tourist failed to realise that it would cost him several hundred pounds unitl it was too late).

EDIT: Eden Project! Eden Project! And while she's in Cornwall (Truro's the best bit, well I was born their, which makes it the best bit) to get 1 Pasty and 1 Saffron cake.

Belfast castle and belfast are nice places to look, same with giants causeway, and the caverns.
