| Balrog's Pirate Crew - Let me know what you think of this starting list!
Cap'n Schafer - Cutlass, Dueling Pistol, Helmet, T.Leathers First Mate Naeem - Sword, Pistol, T.L. (used a marauder model on a 20mm base and his sword is a large hooked fist spike) "Young Master" Schafer - Cutlass, Pistol, T.L. (Captain's son) The Twin Cabin Boys Kees and Piet Jansen -both with belaying pins and Kees has a hammer and piet has mace Boatswain Jonas - Axe, Pistol Crewman Fynn - Pistol, Club Gunners Leon and Luka - Blunderbuss, Mace
Captain Schafer landed at Mordheim looking for Black Wyrd's treasure. He has only just begun his search, leading his ruthless crew of buccaneers on for the slightest chance of loot and treasure. His crew has spread out around the city searching for leads, and thus he only has a handful of his most trusted men to guard his back.
I wanted a lot of pistols and an aggressive, mobile warband. I hope this works.

| I like that Orc list, good shooty, but stompy too! I would suggest dropping the Light armor in favor of a bow and a helmet. A boss needs a good 'at. And the bow shows your bows that even running away isn't enough to stop da boss from being killy! THe shaman doesn't need a halbard, I usually prefer to give a sword and/or club as those help with survivibility.keep him alive, and shaman are big targets especially since they need to be close to the action. Shaman also can use a bow well I've found.
I think that is a good place to start if you have a balanced group, or you don't know your group. Just remember Goblins are good in melee still (and by good I mean expendable) so later on give them another dagger or club.
A good fun investment is to get your boss an Ithimir basha (club) or Choppa (axe). It is funny wen dey realize your boss hits faster AND harder.
There's my bit. Enjoy! | |

| Hi guys I am new here thought this would be the best place to get help with a tourny list. We have 1000g to spend using the rules for fighting individual battles. Hired swords are at double cost eg. dwarf slayer 25gc + 10gc upkeep x 2 = 70gc. rares items are cost plus adverage roll eg 50 + 2d6 will be 57gc.
This is my list so far. I am using Estalia Witch Hunters.
Santo mano de Sigmar (Holy hand of Sigmar)
Salvdor Garcia witch hunter captain, +1 leadership, +1 wound, Pistoler, heavy armour, sword, crossbow pistol. dueling pistol- 240gc
Diego Preto warrior priest, +1 strength, +1 toughnes, +1 attack, heavy armour, hammers x 2, helmet, dagger -186gc
Alfonso de Aragon witch hunter, +1 ws, +1 strength, heavy armour, helmet, sword, mace, dagger- 158gc
Conçalo Fernandes witch hunter, +1 bs, crossbow, mace, dagger- 68gc
Estevan Gonçales witch hunter, +1 bs, crossbow, mace, dagger- 68gc
Los profetas doom (Prophets of doom) Flagellants x 3 , flails-168gc
Jaws de justicia (Jaws of justice) warhounds x 5 -75gc
Corto ronda (Short round) Halfling scout- 40gc
Plan is Hounds up front with Flagellants just behind, followed by combat Witch Hunter, Priest and Captain. Captain there for shooting support, ld test and close combat support as a last resort, With crossbow Witch Hunters and Halfling cover fireing.

| I thought they could take one as they can use a pistol? am I wrong? Was thinking of droping captain down to 1 wound that frees up 20gc to use on something else. | |

| I believe the rule is you may only use the weapons listed on your starting chart, to use a variant of the weapon you must gain the skill Weapons Master. This includes upgrading to a dueling pistol if you are allowed pistols. (I would love to be wrong.) | |

| Ok, hi everyone,I'm thinking about a Lizardman warband for a possible campaign. Here goes.
Skink Priest...2 daggers Great crest...free dagger shortbow Great crest.. free dagger shortbow Saurus Totem warrior...2x stone axe
2x skink braves... free dagger shortbow 2x skink braves... free dagger shortbow 1x saurus brave... stone axe shield 1x saurus brave... stone axe shield 1x saurus brave... stone axe shield 1x saurus brave... stone axe shield
12 GC remaining, a WBR of 107 but sadly a rout of only 3
It's a little basic and lacking in equipment but the idea is to get some LGT and get up to six heros. Nothing is built yet so any advice would be appreciated.

| I really like the Mark of the Old Ones on the Skink priest, which would cost you a saurus.
The rout test is hardly ever a real problem one way or the other, since you are rolling against a 7 on 3 dice.

| Good point, I completely forgot about the cold blooded rule, mark of the old ones sounds real sweet, the idea of my list was to have a hero factory going on with the hench and I was quite keen to take as many sarus as I could fit in. Changing a failed roll to a sucesfull one is a real draw tho. If a skink priest is killed and I hire a new one can I buy the mark for him?

The rule is kind of muddled but I believe you can, since you may only buy the mark when the warrior is recruited.

| Hey all. In my current openended campaign my skaven took such a hammering that I have retired then ( I don't have much luck with the whiskery fellas ). My opponents are Posessd, undead and Marrienburg mercs ( top ranking ). I was really up for a marauder warband fron BTB ( even had the models undercoated ) but decided to give myself a better chance with a shooty/ combat warband. Considering the other warbands I stumped for witch hunters, so here goes.
WHC sword, pistol crosbow dagger WH club, pistol, dagger WH sword, pistol, dagger WH axe x2, dagger Warrior priest shield, hammer, dagger
Flaggelant flail Flaggelant flail Flaggelant flail Flaggelant flail
Using optional blackpowder rules ( and their reduced cost ) I think that leaves me with 3gc a WBR of 101 and a rout of 3. Any suggestions?

Using optional blackpowder rules ( and their reduced cost ) I think that leaves me with 3gc a WBR of 101 and a rout of 3. Any suggestions? I would drop a flagellant for 3 warhounds. The dogs provide some much needed mobility as well as being hard hitters and expendable. My hounds have been quite an asset. This would leave you with 13gc total so you can get another pistol for one of the heroes. ____ I'm also looking for suggestions for my beastmen warband. I have made several lists but here are three that I'm considering Risky ListChieftain: shield, axe Shaman: staff (club) Bestigor: 2x clubs Bestigor: 2x clubs 4 Warhounds Minotaur: halberd This list aims to overwhelm the enemy in the first few games with speed and raw power. There is a good chance of failure but seeing a minotaur tear through the opposing warband would be great. I sill have 9 models so rout on 3. Safer ListChieftain: shield, axe Shaman: staff (club) Bestigor: great weapon Bestigor: 2x axes Centigor: halberd 2 Ungor: spears 1 Gor: cleaver (sword), dagger 3 Warhounds This list has better equipment in general and two more models. Adding the centigor will boost exploration. Having ungors and a gor to gain experience is a plus. There is still a lot to be scared of but no minotaur. Numbers ListChieftain: shield, axe Shaman: staff (club) Bestigor: great weapon Bestigor: 2x axes 3 Ungor: spears 2 Gor: cleaver (sword), dagger 4 Warhounds With 13 models, this list starts to test at 4 losses. So. I'd appreciate some help choosing and refining my warband. Thanks.

| I love the minotaur list for shock value. The one time I did it, the mino lasted the whole campaign. When I wait to buy the big guy somebody always kills him by the second game he fights in.
With your other lists I would add gors over ungors. Ungors are useless most of the time, but they are especially useless at the beginning when you would like that LGT. Despite the low leadership of Beasts I don't worry too much about the rout tests as long as I can bring some pain to the enemy. If you have lost 4 you might have to replace 4 (with my luck).

Thanks for the advice. I wanted to bring in the minotaur early because like you said, people get better at killing him later. I do want ungors in my lists because they should be the present fluffwise; hopefully, my group will allow me to have javelins.

| I like the little ungor guys too, with the right advances they shouldn't be sniffed at ( and the metal mini of the ungor with the kitten in the bag is wicked! ) but LGT is important as someone is going to kick the bucket at some point. I'd go for the minotaur list, he's a tough nut to crack so if your oponents do gang up on him he can last a few rounds ( and will really be something to fear if he's with the beasthounds!! ) and it will give your heros chance to get into the fray and clean up. 9 members isn't too shabby for a starting warband. Good luck, and thanks for your advice... I had allready played a game but went with yoursuggestion and spent some gc on hounds. edit... oh I'd probably drop the chieftans shield and give him a club or an axe, go on the offensive with these boys.... it's the best sort of defence thats just me tho, if you have a nice mini allready lined up go ith whatever you feel looks the best/beast. | |

| I'm hoping to try out the experimental rules for the Wood Elf warband (when I can get my gaming group back together) on the mordheimer website http://www.mordheimer.com/warbands/experimental/wood_elves.htm and here is the list just wondered what people thought of it Heroes Scarloc - Way-Warden Dagger, Asrai Blade-Staff, Glade-Wood Bow 135gc Ranu - Spellwalker Dagger, Glade-Wood Bow 85gc Kathos - Wild Hunter Dagger, Asrai Blade-Staff, Long Bow 80gc Naria - Pathfinder Dagger, Glade-Wood Bow 80gc Orin - Pathfinder Dagger, Glade-Wood Bow 80gc Henchmen The Wild Pack - 2*Wolfhounds 40gc Total: 500gc WR: 87 rout test at: 2 It's a little small but I wanted to get all of my shooting heroes equipped with Glade-Wood Bows and my combat ones equiped with Asrai Blade-Staffs both of which could be hard to find and expensive later in the game. Obviously the first thing I would buy post battle would be some henchmen so i can try and get some LGT. | |

| Hi CountBale, I am not familiar with the Lahmian warband, so i´ll just post some thoughts on your equipment and the henchmen: - Two swords bring you no benefit, drop one for a club. axe or dagger. - Shields are not worth it unless you play with houserules, two weapons are always superior. - The two dire wolves are risky. They are fast and dangerous when they attack, but they are very much overpriced. If you loose one replacing it will likely be a struggle. - I would try to get an additional henchman in so that you test for routs after three losses.
