| Very neat and tidy scenery, looking forward to some more. What is the material you used for the buildings (the grainy looking one)? | |

| VERY NICELY DONE! The pavings stones & the dock are particularly striking...love the mosaic section. If the other sections of your gaming table are of a similar high quality, you'll have yourself quite a SPECTACULAR setting. | |

| Very nice. I like the colored part of pavement especially. I just find it too much clean for my taste. Do you consider adding pieces of rocks, dirt or something like that? I am pretty sure Mordheim wasn't clean like that even before the coming of the comet | |

| Nice work, and those mosaik floor is looking great! But i do have problems with its all to neat and clean looking, i do miss rubble, ruinparts and debris, it doesnt look like a meteoe has struck. | thx all for your comments and perspective (luv the site and the commentary and community...even when I don't exactly agree) hopefully I'll I have more soon (working on WF vikings as middenheimers right now...and 2nd 24" x 24" board)) I totally get the the comments on "too neat and tidy" ...but that's just my personal aesthetic (and I like the other contributors who rock it similar or better) and I really appreciate the "dirty" other styles...but mine will probably lean "cleaner"...you'll see anyway, my board's are fun to play and what else could I ask for?! LOL PS undecided on whether to do fantasy medieval or more robert aspirin thieve's world?! (i.e. mud walls and flat roofs) re: the dock it was far from the meteor (it wasn't the A-bomb) 2 structures were stone...stone intact have almost done scratch-built ship for dock too...soon | |

| Looks like an awesome piece -- I'd love to get a game in on something like.
Personally, I don't mind the clean look; maybe it was an area that was unaffected by the comet-strike?
I love the tiles. Are those just thin pieces of wood with the edges sanded down? It's really a great effect.
The Rustoleum spackle/texture spray can't be beat. If you do a wash of some browns, greens, etc., you can get a little more weathered, dirty look.
Thanks for sharing!

| Nice stuff, I don't know why I've never thought to just cut buildings out of plywood. They'd be sturdy, fairly light and cheap to make. Seems like making them out of wood would also offer opportunities to get some realistic burn effects going.
I tend to also think that not everything in Mordheim should be blown up. In my mind most of the damage would've been done by looters after the fact. I do like my dirties a bit dirty though. Dirty, dirty buildings... | |

| thx Ordo Septenarius and Drayven yes, tiles custom cut from thin wood pieces from craft store in US hand sanded to both round corners and bevel/round edges this was actually the longest time spent on the board (it literally took forever!) plwyood + wood glue + whatever = very study / durable / long lasting foam board = faster but less sturdy; i like but not my preference undecided if I'll shape next tiles by hand next modular board will have modular blgs + undercroft minis soon... | |

| I just love buildings. Honestly I didn't thought that the buildings are from plywood. It seemed to me that they are made from pieces of rubber because recently I seen some sort of rubber mat made from small chips of recycled rubber and that thing is surprisingly 90% identical on a gleams,so I was fooled.
A well life goes on.
But I must say that I love the simplicity jet awesome look of Your work that I must steel some ideas. For the cobblestone plazza no man I would not steel that idea,to cut some square wood to thin pieces and on top of that sanding its edges??? It seams lot and lot of work,I just have not such patience
All in all great work, now I have an idea how to process some good docks

| Very beautiful terrain. I love the cicular stone work in front of the building. I also love the water effect. As for it looking too neat or clean, you could always make some small piles of ruble on some small bases that match the stone work or wooden planks of the dock. Get a few of those place around and you'll have a ready made dirty style place without making your gaming area dirty all the time . That's what I do with my gaming tables. | |

| thx flipchuck I actually did a full re-paint which I never re-photographed but u can see in some of my other posts the color pallete was changed to matched my other boards I have at least one post that shows some (large) rubble piles I generally don't put a bunch of my removable pieces on my boards when I post PS I don't comment all the time but your stuff is great too | |

| That's pretty cool that you do have rubble piles on bases like that. Great minds think alike. And thank you for liking my stuff as well. Coming from a master builder like yourself, that means a lot. | |
