| Those mist rules are an excellent idea and the fimir FW models look very creepy though I always imagined them as comparable to Orcs or Sauruses (Saurii?) in size. | |

| from wikipedia: - Quote :
- There are two Fimir miniatures at the "correct scale" i.e. a size between 1.8m and 2.1m (in-game scale): Fimir (actually Fimm Warriors) from HeroQuest and some limited edition Fimm Warrior miniatures sold separately. One can also find Fimir by Nick Bibby the size of ogres, although these obviously do not integrate well with the "correctly" scaled models. Original concept sketches of the miniatures made by Jes Goodwin represented human-sized creatures and the published characteristics of the Fimir reflected this fact. However, when Nick Bibby started to sculpt the Fimir miniatures, he made them ogre-sized, leading to them being disproportionately weak for the size of their figurine in WFB
This test model for fimir by Jes Goodwyn. If you actually look at the old fimir models they are not that too terribly big with scale creep over the past 20 years orcs are the same size now... this pic shows some of the old sculpts next to a savage orc converted into a fimir (great blog btw, i recommend checking out this guy's work) Here is a scale shot of the new fimir, petty good size but not gigantic, bulky and stooped over (i never liked how the heroquest figure were standing straight up) And here is a new fimir next to an old, i think they did good! | |
