Warriors of Kislev

Hi you all,

I used too play Mordheim all the time, till I played it so much I got a little bored by it and started too focus more on 40K and fantasy. But now I was browsing the web and stumbled upon the border town burning and some chaos dwarf pictures (more about this later ) and wanted too start again. So I dropped the ball at my local gameclub and a lot of guys wanted too start a campaign too! So I tought i'd join this forum.
I'm going too start a chaos dwarf warband (I told you i would get back too it), but i'm now waiting till i get a box of dwarves from a club member too convert. I'm thinking of using the regular dwarf rules and maby make some minor altorations.

But I also wanted too show you my Kislev band I made a year ago (because i always like too build models )
So here it goes:

VERY NICE ideas! Comparing with most Kislev warbands I've seen (including mine) it's a very original warband. And it looks like a real Kislev warband. Now I want only a bottle of vodka

That IS an excellent looking War Band. Some VERY Imaginative coversion work & some SUPERLATIVE painting produced a TOTALLY unique War Band. Nice piece of work there. We'll all be looking forward to your Dwarven project!

It's not often you see Kislevite warbands, so this is quite the treat - and it's only made that much better by the quality of the paint-jobs, conversions, and the amazing scenery being used as a backdrop.

Very well done! I'm looking forward to more!

This whole band has been very carefully selected. The Kislevian theme really comes through strong and that Ogre and Tiger tamer make for wonderful centre-piece models.

I should also add that it's great to see you return to the hobby based on the community of this web site and the lure of fortune that is available in the Cathayan borderlands of Border Town Burning.

If you do join us in Shang-Yang for a good scrap then I hope your Chaos Dwarfs will follow the format of the BTB warband for Chaos Dwarfs. This has been developed based on previous fan written material and expanded to meet the expectations of the Chaos Dwarf online community. We had 2x players in my preview campaign using the warband. They both had a blast leading the Children of Darkness through the borderlands, gathering captives and bringing misery to the defenders of Shang-Yang.

Thanks, everybody! Looking around the forum makes me really want too start at the new warband. But first I have to finish my current project (i'm building/painting a Great Uncleane One).

Always appreciate a well done witch hunter and that one definitely fits the bill! Have you removed all the =][= signs and replaced them with twin tailed comets?! That's dedication! You also seem to have somehow removed his bionic eye!!! (I've got the same mini for 40k but it's not nearly as well done as yours!)

Both minis ARE REALLY VERY COOL! I,however, LOVE the Orc.
AND I forgot to mention how much I liked your scenery. VERY WELL DONE!

I also have a lone Witch Hunter. Serves him right; if he wasn't such a nasty, bigotted bastard, he'd have lots of friends.

Haha yeah he's persecuted all his mates!

Will we be seeing the orc at next GD?

Thanks for the comments everyone! I finaly finished my current project; aGreat unceane one of nurgle. I've been working on this baby for 3 months now, mostly sculpting though. But now i'm done and i can finaly start on some dwarves, o boy I'll be getting the models by monday.

Oh man that's so good! How big is he? You should post a picture of him next to one of your Kislevites for comparison. Is that super-sculpey you used to build the bulk of him?
I for one would like to see pictures of all of your past/current/future projects, you know you can post whatever you like in the sci-fi and fantasy shout out sections?
