| Ok so i was browsing the games workshop specalist games section and found this on the mordheim page: ------------------------------------- New to Mordheim? The Mordheim starter set contains all the stuff you need to get going with your first encounter on the deserted streets. Inside the box you will find: • 10 Skaven • 8 Human mercenaries • 176 page rulebook • a set of detailed card and plastic ruined buildings • All the counters and dice you'll need to play. Buy directly from the UK Online store here. Useful articles for first time mercenary captains Taking it to the Streets – veteran merc, Mark Havenor, takes you on a guided tour of your potential foes. Call to Arms – an event and battle report from scribes of two experienced adventurers. ------------------------------------------------------------- can be found at this link: http://www.specialist-games.com/mordheim/default.aspAm I right in assuming this is out of date information or have they bought back some sort of starter set like they brought back bloodbowl? I'ts linked to the new store and everything but when i click it i only find the warbands and single mini's... no starter set. So i'm assuming its the ancient old box set which is oop. Probabily there is none but wanted to check. | |

True. The old box set went for 200 Euros twice on ebay Germany within the last two weeks, by the way.

| Don't worry too much about the starter box, Duce.
The book you find in there is long out of date insofar as it contains none of the important errata. The free PDF version on the SG site however contains everything.
Also: you can safely ignore the word "detailed" in the description of the buildings. Sure they are okay if you don't own any scenery, but they are rather unspectacular. You'll make much nicer buildings yourself. I sold my starter box buildings years ago.
And concerning the minis, they still exist as the Skaven Night Runners and Empire Militia boxes. _________________

| What Tom said. You can even buy the extra sprues (equipment sprue and building sprue) from GW directly. The buildings are indeed freaking unspectecular. They aren't even very durable unless you put them on bases (uh-oh, is Ashton around? ). | |

| Was not so much what was in it, was more curious if it was a new offer with cheap price aimed at getting people into the game. Although as promised to Cianty I'm going to take the pdf he gave me of the scanned buildings and convert them into foamboard ones, with minimal bases to keep ashton happy. The idea is to base just to the edges of the building with a thin layer of say balsa wood, then add rubble etc on top of it. meaning the base is the inside floor of the building with no lip or bits on the outer walls... if that makes sence. Means a bit more support, and stability but no unsightly bases poking out which can mismatch with the table. so I get bases to make buildings cooler with more interior detail... and Ashton doen't have to hate me for basing the buildings | |

I made most of mine buildings from tracing the old buildings on foamcare.

No but honestly, that is a great idea. So the wall will meet the board without any annoying edges or lips to worry about. And it will look great on any board and the inside of the building will have details as well. A Perfect Idea! lol
