| Skyer rhymes with flier Skaven rhymes with Raven Wyrdstone is weird-stone
At least one of our group is a former long time GW store employee so I just trust their pronunciation on these things. | |

| Because GW employees get language training nowadays? Must have missed my store ... the guys there would rather be living arguments against following their habits ... On the other hand, am I the first one here to actually pronounce the "Wyrd" like in "Wyrm", so "Word-Stone" (I leave the weird puns to its written form, and in everyday use, since I am German, the problem never comes up, anyway ... Morrsstein for the win! )? Inconceivable! For Skryre and Skaven, I am with you - Fire and Raven it is. Although for the latter, a completely German pronunciation (which corresponds to the Ah-one the StyrofoamKing spoke of) really sounds cute when people talk of 'Skavensklaven' ('Skaven slaves'). Say that three times fast. | |

| As in Germany, in Italy Wyrdstone has been changed ...but nothing concerning morr...it became Warpietra...re-translating in english in warp-stone...maybe they tried to recall wh40k's warp? Strange things come from translation... | |

| I thought warp-stone was the "Evil" varient of wyrd-stone, the stuff of Chaos itself compressed down into solid form. | |

| I say weird stone, because I always assumed that they named it after the Norse rune of Wyrd which I've always heard pronounced as weird. Side note, Wyrd in runic is a blank. | |
