| @hero: If you can check the shoreline of the nearest beach. Some really old pieces might be a bit soft around the edges, the pseudo old ones would be just right and you wouldn't lose an arm moving them about on the board either. Pet stores specialized in aquariums tend to have a variety if that giant crystal look. give it a thick clearcoat (and a wash if they're clear) and that matte finish will disappear. | |

| We made ours out of pieces of green mosaic glass bought at the local craft store. We painted up a few flocked 40k 25mm round bases, and then just used PVA to glue some suitable pieces of green glass to them. We didn't paint the glass at all. They look great.
To make them step out on the field, we painted the rims of the bases with Scorpion Green, so they almost GLOW green. | |

| The easy way: Use the cardboard markers from the rulebook. Almost as easy but more good looking way: Cut pieces of plastic frames from your miniature frames. Use a standard hobby knofe to cut some edges, and glue a pair of them onto a base and paint them. Really easy, and we all got miniature frames lying about, I am sure. |

| The sprue thing is good but it sort of takes away from the effect of flailing about on the subway and calling down death and destruction of your enemies while you flash the shards infront of the commoners. | |

| Clear green beads purchased from a $1 store, square base, sand. http://www.pbase.com/therat/image/108154046/medium.jpg You could also check at your local fish store there is a large variedy of stuff they put on the bottom of the fish tanks that would make fast and easy counters. | |

| Thanks for the kind words guys. Just ask your wife or mom to save the next glass thing they're going to throw out. My wife broke a crystal goblet which is probably too thin (and dangerous) for Wyrdstone, but I'll give it a try one of these days. Just be extremely careful how you break any glass... and don't go breaking car windows | |

| Here is the wyrdstone counters we use in our group. This particular one isnt made by me, but they all look the same. It is plastic framing cut into sharp stones, embedded in the earth. They are glued to a 50 Öring (A swedish penny, sort of) with added basing. Then it was spraypainted black, then painted and highlighted as normal. Now, one might think "hat a waste of money!" (well, not really as the 50 Öring is the smallest value in swedish currency), but, the 50 Öring is going out of "print" and will not be worth anything soon, so we collect all the ones we have and make new wyrdstone counters from Anyway, heres a pic: The size is almost exactly like a miniature base. |
