| Cheers dude And make more I shall, heres a small update got some work done on the first mutant, decided to go for a tentacle for him. added some suction cups to it at the suggestion of Foot_of_adhesive_tape. It needs tiding up some more and I will likely replace the cups with neater versions. Weapon wise he will have a sword but I'm waiting on beastmen parts for that, the armour on his front will be a metal gut plate that will have the slaanesh rune added, and the 3 bands behind it will be studded leather strips. As ever guy slet me know what you think or any suggestions for improvements are mor ethan welcome | |

- Likin' the bases, what are they made of? if you don't mind me asking
they are standard GW bases, and I then put a layer of milliput over the top and sculpt on the cobble stone texture. Time consuming but its worth it as it saves me money on not buying resin bases right update time, been quiet the last week, mainly due to my brother moving back home after finishing uni so I've been moving furniture and boxes of stuff back here. However I have managed to get a little work done: My beastmen turned up today so of course I had to get started on making one just basic stuff so far, need to try think up some ideas for them. the brethren armed with a spear is nearing completion just need ssome more tidying up, especially around the hand I sculpted (I hate scultping hands can never get them right ) I'm pretty pleased with how hes turned, wasn't sure that the pose would work. The mutant is slowly takign shape, work on him is slow mainly due to the studded armour, but you get teh idea. I have ideas for the 2nd mutant now too so will start on that fairly soon Thats it for now, as ever any feedback and suggestions are more thant welcome

| Spear guy looks good! As for the fingers - perhaps make the joints stand out a little? Tentacle is coming on nicely. Keep up the good work! | |

| Wowy, excellent GS skill you've got! This is shaping up to be a truly awesome warband, and Slaanesh doesn't get nearly enough attention in Mordheim (seems to me, anyways, that Slaaneshi cults are relatively rare...).
I think most people just don't really know how or where to start - with undivided, Tzeentch, or Nurgle (especially Nurgle) it's pretty easy to know what kinds of conversions you'll be doing and what parts to look for. I think you've done a great job of nailing down a good look for a Slaaneshi warband, though.
Also, as a big fan of all things cephalopod-y, I like your mutant's arm a lot.
Keep up the good work! | |

good idea, I shall try filing down the fingers a bit to make the joints stand out more see if it helps. Thanks for the suggestion dude - Quote :

Cheers dude, I know what you mean I've always struggled with Slaanesh, its why I haven't really done anything for it before. Its a bit of a fluke I stumbled onto a theme that works I think I ruled out the normal slaanesh boobies stuff at the begining to make me think out of the box a bit. Right I have another update, worked fairly quickly on the Beastman and have him fully converted: Really pleased with how hes turned out, isn't as GS heavy as the other models in the warband though resculpting most of his left arm did take a while. Pose wise he is pointing the mace at an enemy to challenge them to combat. Gave him a hood to tie him to the rest of the warband, looked to Georcs fantastic beastmen for inspiration for the hood I've started painting this guy this afternoon, got his skin pretty much done. So in a day or 2 I shall post him up

| The Beasty Boy painted up WONDERFULLY! Choice of colors is EXCELLENT...the pinkish skin tone is very Slaanesh. I like the way the jewel turned out...matches the hood color appropriately for a chic Chaos follower. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| That beastman looks great! The left arm turned out splendidly, and you painted it very well. As for the fingers, one more thought: vary the length of the fingers just a little. | |

| hi, if you want to try another go at bone, try starting with a fairly light bone colour, and work it darker with lots of progressive washes. I think you work the other way round; start dark and then build up highlights ? Start with bleached bone or something, and then make a very, very thin brownish wash ; give about 5 to 10 washes (let the first one dry, or use a hair dryer, before applying the next), and you might end up with something you like. In the end you might need to rework a little bit of the highlights with bone and bone+white. It's just a bit searching for the right tone of the washes. Mind you ; when applying and when wet, you might hardly now the difference, but as you build up, and the drying's done, you'll see what I mean.
keep up the good work ! love what you've done so far

| I am painting up some beastmen, too, and horns are something I dread (almost much as painting armor). I found that making very little variation between the bast color and ultimate highlight color are key. That is, rather than start with black, I made a dun/khaki/tan my base color and then worked my way to bone. It seems to work really well (examples in signature link).
