| This might be the best painting innovation i have ever used! I made it with a warmachine blister pack, microfiber cloth folded several times, and baking paper. It is very small due to the size of the resealable blister pack i had on hand though. Make sure you get the kind of paper that is used to line baking pans with, not wax-paper. I mixed a color about 24 hours ago and it is still not dry! Here is a link to the instructions: http://www.tobi-design.com/miniatures/tips/tips_wet_palette.htm | |

| It has now been six days since I made my wet palette and the first patch of color i mixed is still wet and suitable for painting! Amazing! | |

| So many of the tools and materials for this hobby cost so much money that it's awesome when you find solutions like this. Privateer Press is coming out with a wet palette but it costs $20. And then there are the refill papers.
But this...this is cool.

| I'd have posted in the original topic, but it seems that i'm not privileged to do so:(
well, on to my question: i just tried to make a wet palette myself a couple of minutes ago. however, the baking paper seemed extremely resistant to water so it would not get wet at all. now, what paper do you use? is it just my "Gut und günstig" that isn't working?
greetings, s.

| Eliazar, I've found that parchment paper actually works pretty well.
This also works nicely if you have the PP wet palette instead of buying their refills.

| I've heard that "curing" the baking paper works. Get both sides wet and let it sit for a bit, then start using it. I haven't tried it yet, but I read it on another board.
Alternatively, I saw a small wet palette at an art store for about $9.

| I finally managed to make myself a wet palette using a freebooter blister box and the respective padding and translucent paper (the same I used for my light box).
I really recommend everyone trying it out, too, as a wet palette is just perfect for mixing and keeping the colour tones. Also, it slightly dilutes the paint, which is a good thing, in my opinion.

| As I usually mix my paints in a new dropper, and normally make at least 5 ml., I've never used this, but seems like a good idea.
Hi Dewpop, maybe you'll want to introduce yourself in the newbies section?
Anyhow, welcome on board.
Best wishes. | |

| Hmm i didn't realize there were more responses to this topic... Dewpop is correct, the paper i used is ReynoldsParchment Paper, not Baking paper like i mentioned before, sorry for the confusion. This is the product for those still trying to get their wet palette: link | |

| This thing is bloody genius. No more wasting half my paint because it dried before I could use it, I can literally put some paint in the pallet and paint with it until there are mere specks left on the parchment paper. Such a good idea, I can't recommend this enough. | |

Isn't "ReynoldsParchment" baking paper? For my wet palette I use baking paper and it works fine. Perhaps "Reynold's" is more sturdy (pure speculation, I have no idea), but where I live it doesn't exist. _________________

| I'm not sure what exactly the difference between parchment and baking paper is, but if it works for you, excellent!
Nearly two years later and I'm still amazed at the effectiveness of this palette. It will truly change the way you paint!
