| I got rid of the thick resin walls I got with the kit, but I salvaged the doors and window. I used the doors and window and made new walls in wood material. Don't know how to make the doors look like doors on the inside, maybe painting since it got no textures. Kind regards, Gabe | |

| That looks really good, my friend! I look forward to play against that ship. My privateers will surely have trouble bringing that behemoth down. | |

| Many thanks! Never judge a ship from it's guns, it's the crew and the captain that makes the ship Kindest regards, Gabe | |

| Time has come for another update, was long ago since last one. I got alot of work done on the masts, but I still need to get the proportions right. That's what happens when you dont know exactly how long they should be. Here's how she looks: I also tryed to fix the badly warped lowe deck by filling up the gap in the bow. Got myselfe a figurehead to, was not easy to find a horse so an old bretonnian one had to do And I got rid of some more crap in the stern. I will make a new rudder myselfe, have some pretty easy ideas how to make one in wood. I'm not to far from painting now and it feels great, so looking forward to painting her! In hope of interest, Kindest regards, Gabe | |

| Hey Gabe, Great update! You've been busy.
I would suggest cutting the horse right behind the front shoulder so that the saddlecloth is gone. It does nothing for the figurhead, unless you plan to greenstuff something in that space?
Love the work you've done on the stern!
Masts--have you asked on the LAF? Those folks take ships pretty serious. I'll bet HornedRat or Stormgerkin would have an opinion as well. (Might wake them up, too.)
Keep going!

| Many thanks! And what a good sugestion, I will make some changes to the figurehead, great idea LAF? No idea what that is. My knowledge of masts basicly come from watching hundreds of modelship picture, old paintingns and sneaking around on model ship forums. Since the whole ship is a creation of fantasy and it's ment for tabletop games I just made somehing simpel. But I would love learn more, so please, wake them up hehe. Thank's again! Cheers, Gabe | |

| LAF--Lead Adventurer's Forum. I noticed your post there in the swashbuckling section. HornedRat and Stormgerkin have ship building threads in the Scenery section of this forum. They haven't been too active for awhile now... | |

| I bought the old glory man o war when i saw yours on this site, and must admit you solved a lot of problems for me with your postings your progress in this topic. (and thanx for the model dockyard link). I did a little less converting than you( was a bit afraid to start hacking into the model), I especially love what you did with the stern of the ship.
I also have some questions about your ship. approximately How long did you make the various yards ( i hope i use the right word here, not a native english speaker, i mean the wooden beams connected to the mast where the sails hang from)?
is there any size difference between the oldglory guns that came with the ship and the eurekaminatures long 9` s? ( i ordered some from games of war but they are tiny in comparison)
Old glory isn`t kidding when they say this model isn`t for novice builders btw. Never before did i buy a model that was expensive as this , only to find out that there are absolutely no istructions whatsoever on where all those nice railings go. " here`s your expensive bag of metal and warped plastic hull, now go away, leave us alone and go build something out of it" oh well, guess it`s a bigger challenge this way.
I fixed the warped hull a bit different from how you fixed it. I clamped the 2 big hull pieces together and dumped them bow first in a bucket hot water for about an hour.
