Hi All,

My gaming group just wants to wish you a happy Cathayan New Year. One of our group, MD, created a crazy scenario that we played last night as we celebrated the Cathayan year of the were-rabbit Mordheim style.

It is totally over the top. I believe that there were five warbands playing (I was playing Last Orders with two others in our group as part of our campaign so I couldn't participate) and they seemed to have a lot of fun.
Breeding Like... Scenario

I wish some of them had taken photos of the battle as we used tiny origami bunnies to represent the were-bunnies (and a chaos spawn to represent the were-rabbit).

We hope you have a good laugh,

Ben

P.S.
We have a bigger surprise coming for those who enjoy using the rules in the Border Town Burning suppliment. I had hoped to have it up for the New Year celebration but it is still being worked on. Hence this is just a place-holder. Stay tuned... Wink

Happy Cathayan new year, indeed!

The scenario looks a hoot.

i like this scenario.

i will make a mini-campagain out of it as easter special Very Happy

my Brainstorming until now (exspecially the last two need some work Smile ):

1. game:
Rescue the pool little Girl
- A desperate old man asks some warbands to rescue her granddaughter from an angry mob, which tries to kill a cute innocent girl. the warbands (2 or more) have to rescue her within x-Rounds.

interlude
- the girl shows her true identity. She is the were-rabbit

2. game:
Breeding like a ...

interlude
- something like, she changed back and reveals that she was forced to become this monster

3. game:
hunt for the cult
- the warbands have to follow the trail (breakthrough in EiF-Terrain). Some Kultists and traps should slow them down

4. game:
the Magister
- the warbands meet the magister behind this scheme. They have to stop him, but he will try to summon a even greater evil

Data:
3-4 new neutral/good Warbands
2 Days each with 2 games played

1. game:
Rescue the poor little girl
- A desperate old man asks some warbands to rescue his granddaughter from an angry mob, which tries to kill a cute innocent girl. The warbands (2 or more) have to rescue her within x-rounds.

Terrain:
some huts and small poor houses represent a little village. in the center stand a stake.

Set-Up:
Each warbands choses one edge. Multiple warbands may choose the same edge. They can set up 6" from the edge.
The Defenders set up in the middle near the stake

Defenders:
Witchhunter, sword, torch, duellpistol, heavy armor
4 Flagelants, flails
3 peasants for each participating warband, stats like youngbloods, clubs/spear (i think WYSIWYG, but i have to check for enough modells)

Special Rules:
Burn the girl:
Each turn there is a chance, that the Witchhunter will set the stake in flames on 6+. As soon the warbands attack add 2 to the roll. If the Witchhunter become stunned or OOA he drops the torch, which the nearest peasant will pick up (move in contact) and try to set the stake on flames.
After the stake is set in flames, the warbands have three rounds to rescue her.

Cut the rops:
the girl is tied on the stake. Which get in base contact and do this turn nothing other than freeing her (no Shooting, casting, fighting) can cut her loose.
If the stake is already in flames, any Modell which moves in contanct will get a S4 hit with no armor Save.

Ending the game:
The game ends, if the girl is cut loose or the fire is three turns ablaze and the girl transform and free herself.

Exp:
+1 for surving
+1 for heroes who put an enemy out of action, peasant are small fries, they count as half model (round down)
+2 exp for the modell which cuts the girl free

Interlude Winning:
As soon as you cut the girl loose, the girl sends the unprepared warrior, who freed her, with a spinning kick OOA and jumps away. Fighting her way out she transformed into a hairy monster. She even catch one peasant, who was able to get in her way, and bite his head off. Everybody is schocked by this and she manages to escape

Interlude Loosing:
As soon as fire reaches the girl, the girl screames frightening. Suddenly the ropes seems to rippe and she jumps over the fire and start running away. Fighting her way out she transformed into a hairy monster. She even catch one peasant, who was able to get in her way, and bite his head off. Everybody else is schocked by this and she manages to escape

After the girl is escaped, the witchhunter scould the warbands, that they have a monster perhaps even a demon let escape. He forced them to follow the girl in the hills nearby, where they should kill the beast.

-------------------
Is the balancing ok, with the "breeding like..." Szenario following (without income-phase between).
Should i give the witchhunter some more fighting power (or shooting power)?
