IMPORTANT: Specialist Games website to end

The end of Fanatic supporting the Specialist Games range has arrived. The website will no longer be updated. The site will continue to exist for a couple of months before it will be taken down so make sure that until then you download all the Mordheim PDF files from there because there is no guarantee that all of them will be hosted elsewhere.

If you read Andy's post you will see that this situation does not mean the end of the Specialist Games (ie, Mordheim for us) and maybe this is even a positive sign of great things yet to come.

EDIT: I should also say that all PDF files will remain available at the Mordheim Yahoo group.

EDIT2: The Specialist Games site is now offline. However, a few of the official PDFs can still be downloaded from the new Games Workshop site. Go to Specialist Games -> Mordheim -> Mordheim Resources -> Mordheim Resources (yes, again) and then you can see all the currently hosted PDFs. Again, you can still get all of the original files from the Mordheim Yahoo group.

I got that email from Andy too.

Saved everything already

It's really astonishingly small. All the Necromunda, Mordheim and Bloodbowl stuff together is 173MB

Is it just me or do they not have all of the PDF's on the new site? (I thought they had more on the old SG site.) I will go to the old (UK) site, and DL the ones that they didn't transfer over to the new site.

Ashton the terms are putting something on your website saying you are in no way associated with GW and are not challenging them in anyway to their product.

I believe there is something available on the GW website for this.

Well, Andy's name was "bankofmarienburgh" on the old Mordheim forum (the real old one) and he changed to DaBank on the current one. But who cares.. this is going off topic and I didn't really mean to blame you.

Yup, that is me. Cianty was right it is bankofmarienburghs on the Yahoo Mordheim Forum and the SG forum previous the current one. Someone gave me the nickname of Da Bank and it kinda of stuck.

Thanks for having me. I want to visit here more often but the SG Mordheim Forum and Yahoo's keeps me busy.

Back on topic...with the advent of the SG website leaving we have "stocked the shelves" of the Yahoo Mordheim Group with all the PDFs currently available just in case some never get reposted during their transition period. With that I know of some people who are working on a digital library for Mordheim.

Yikes... I also got everything. I will make it available on the (future) update to my site.

Well, I've tried and it did work twice. The first rulebook PDF and a random PDF from the articles section.

Rules are still there...currently I am using "France" as my country.. don't tell them.

Everything is still up on the SG Forum as long as you pick any counrty except the USA.

There is a small snag in moving the entire site to another NON GW Server. GW/Specialist Games has given permission for the entire site to be moved to someone else's countrol.

This means that things are still official with the new home of the forum from what Jervis and Andy Hall are saying.

As we know with all changes and transitions that there may be some changes and or modifications.

Just thought I'd mention it, given that the main entry point into the specialist website is broken and I'm (and I assume you) are unable to find the big master list of pdf articles on the specialist game site anymore.

You can still use google to get to them.

Do the following search:
mordheim filetype:pdf site:specialist-games.com

That gives you all the pdf files with mordheim in them on the specialst-games.com site (which is all of the ones they had up earlier).

If you want to see all their pdf file (warmaster, BFG, BB, etc.) drop the mordheim from the search string.

Don't know how much longer they'll be sticking around though.

Yeah, I've been spending a LOT more time here too, since the forum dropped. I hope it goes up, I stupidly didn't save all my submissions, or the Devil's Den entries. I also miss Master, were practically partners in crime in nearly every project

Of course, if it DOESN'T show up by December, I'll just have to restart Devil's Den on THIS forum.
