| This thread is incredibly enjoyable; what a ship! Big kudos to you for fashioning those nice looking cannon with such an elegant and simple design too. Very nice work. | |

| Ok finaly got a new camera, so I better do an update of what little progress has been made. A shot of all the broadside guns, painstakingly build... now just need to get enthoused and do the chaser's. I have managed to get all the railling's on the decks completed they were build in the same fashon as the others just used longer pins and telesopic lenghts of tube to dress up the post's, also gor the ships bell on no real newed to explan how it was built. I have built the main deck gratting it will be removable to alow line of sight, I still need to build a bit of renforcement for it to sit on but that wont be hard. again this was pretty straight forward the balsa used was a little thicker then large match sticks then glued in place and pinned around the edge for stability. Oh and I have my figure head for the ship I'll be cutting up a dark maiden from reaper minatures, should work nicely. http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/dark%20maiden/latest/14106#detail/14106_DarkMaiden_dsThe next jobs i will be getting on to are rebuilding the bow as I'm unhappy with it, building in the captains cabin and cutting all the broard side gun ports the last few cannons can wait I'm over building them. | |

| Mind blowing. Those ships are amazing Stormgerkin! The best I have ever seen for tabletop. Your attention to detail and proportion is absolutely amazing.

| Here's a bit more progress I thought I should post. I have cut all the broad side port holes, would have been nice to add one more towards the rear of the ship but the stair wells on the side got in the way so this will have to do. I built in the captains quaters as well this will primarly serve as the structor and the smooth surface for the window pains. This was just built out of 1mm plasticard. As for the window design I am open to any ideas you can add for what might suit the built. and one of the interior | |

| This really is going to look wonderful once you get it all painted up. It makes me want to try and make a multi-level ship rather than just the decks! | |

| Well alot of time has pasted since my last post and very little work. That said I have been mucking about with the bow and am quite happy with the direction itis going. next I think will be to grate hte bow. The figure head mocked up with 3 wire pins holding it temperarly for now, needs some more work to get it to sit right. Build a leadge on the inside of the grate to hold it so It can easly be removed for line of site. just an innerlip made of thin square glued and pinned on. | |

| You've left the realm of gaming pieces & entered the world of PURE ARTISTRY. That is a MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF WORK! The use of the Dark maiden as a figurehead is a fine idea. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE! | |
