| An idea I have for a Mordheim building where a large tree grows inside of the local madman's house. I am considering using one of the GW trees and build the rest from scratch. I think it could be pretty cool. What do you think? And please comment with some mad ideas I can use | |

| Looking good, man! One idea is to go a bit more vertical, use a gnarly big-ass tree as the core for a treehouse-style mad wizards' tower. A stock GW tree would be a bit small for that though. | |

| Great idea! I predict a few tree buildings or buildings with trees might be sprouting all over the warhammer world. It sounds perfect for EiF and Lustria to name a few... | |

| Very nice concept! It reminds me a bit of a piece of artwork a friend of mine did. It was for a series of artwork he did for the Kingdoms of Ind, here's a link if you're interested. Looking forward to see how it comes out, it sure is a great concept! | |

| @Jorisch - that is a really cool sketch! I love way the colour of the paper gives the whole thing a lot of atmosphere. I'd like to see more of your sketches, and I'd love to see that building realised in 3D! @Pfreck - your friend's artwork is awesome too!

| Think its a really good idea! Design looks cool - i'd been thinking of doing an overgrown building since recently spotting a windmill in a copse of trees covered in ivy. Only downside is unless its fuelled by wyrdstone.. not many trees are alive in mordheim... Do it! | |

| Thanks for all the nice comments! I think I will need to do some more sketches now @FKSN Maybe I need to scratch build a big chaos infested tree instead. I will consider that, it could be really cool but might be a lot of hard work. @Pfreck You're right about that, your friends sketch (which by the way is a lot nicer than mine) has some similarities for sure @Tonka That's right, need to order some ivy for this project. And I don't bother too much if it fits in GW's Mordheim world or not. It will fit in my Mordheim world at least But I am considering making some sort of gnarly chaos tree instead of a normal one. | |

| That sketch looks like concept art right out of WoW or Warhammer Online. Are you in that line of work?
Very cool idea, I love all the writs and signs all over the front of the building, and the stuff hanging off the branches poking out all over. The only criticism I have is that at the scale it appears to be it might not have much room for models to actually play inside so it will be more of a decorative/obstacle type of building? Player's hands will probably be very cramped, and it might be hard to maneuver models around in there. Either way, cool idea and I would totally throw that out on the table to use in most cases. | |

| I like an idea man.
It`s nice to have some new ideas about mariaging nature with man made buildings etc. Would You consider least 1 or 2 stories building so You can add some furniture or some wierd aparatus for Your mad man living in the house or You can create some holow section of the tree growing inside the house.
Salute | |

| @DeafNala It's never too late for a nice comment, thanks @sartori Nope not really, I work as an art director with websites on a daily basis, this type of stuff is just a hobby. I agree with the scale, it is too small and if/when I build it, it needs to be bigger for gaming purposes. @Sultan Thanks for the ideas, I will add stories and you're right, there should be some weird apparatus in a madman's house | |

| great Idea, but if you want more madmannish feel to it, consider the stories to be off on overbalanced angles, tilted, and uphelt by weird statues/branches which have weird sculputres hacked into them (you'd probably gonna have to sculpt the tree yourself anyway, as you'd need it big for gaming purposes, so why not sculpt a branch around a contorted zombie body, and paint it all wood?) but madmen and mordheim are a brilliant marriage, so yes, do make this, SOON! | |

| Nice. I had the same idea for a tree-in-house building some time ago. It will take a long time til I can get to work on that so I'll wait and see what you make of the concept. | |

| The second sketch is very well done as well. Of course now I'm thinking about mutant trees and possessed houses, ruins and such rather than the remodeled New England stable I'm supposed to be working on... | |

| @cianty Don't hold your breath, it will probably take a year before this building is finished Right now I'm gluing the ruined coaching inn together... it's massive and needs a lot of hours of paintwork @Von Kurst Mutant trees and possessed houses are much more fun | |
