Here be pirates (and behind you as well!)

As he lay, clinging on to the barrel, he was in dark thoughts. Who would not be, when their ship had been sunk, and only a handfull of men had survived. And this was his third time it happened.

"Cap`n? Beg your pardon.....but what do we do now? We will follow you, just say the word!"

As the crew member finished his sentence, a black crow landed on the barrel. Right in front of the Captain, locking eyes with him. Within a heartbeat it took of again.

"That is an omen boys, follow that black bird! It will lead us on our way!"

And just like that, they swam, paddled and fought their way to dry land. The crow seeming to wait for them once in a while. As they had gathered their strenght again, they sat out, following the bird, and hauling the barrel with them. The Captain, two mates and 10 crew members. They had gathered what they could from the flotsam, this now being the only thing they had.

"What does that sign say? It has markings like words Cap`n!"

"Mordheim!"

Have scrounged around, and found miniatures to fit pirates. Soon pics to show the captain and one of his mates....Dead Tom.

COOL START! Now you're committed to dazzling our minds with minis worthy of your background fluff...of course my old mind is fairly easy to dazzle . SO...FULL SPEED AHEAD!

Please remember this is work in progress. The metal parts however willl not be fiddled with much more. Quite happy there. Most of the rest have only gotten as far as first coat. No highlights or shading or anything.

But I wanted to show off the Captain and first mate Dead Tom

VERY COOL minis...are those Privateer Press?...AND nice choice of colors! Dead Tom is ESPECIALLY cool piece. The Bases look TERRIFIC. GREAT START!

They are indeed privateer press. The Captain has some small modification on him. The sword arm, and his hat. He is Warcaster Shae from mercenaries, and Dead Tom is from the Cryx army.

The Mercenaries & Cryxx, not nececessarily in that order, are my two favorite factions in War Machine. All the Cyrxx stuf has a Piratical feel to them...figures since their basically Pirates. The Pirates & the Rhulic stuff for the Mercenaries ROCK! It will be cool to see them in a game that doesn't require "playing like you've got a pair."

Ahh Rackhams Khourgan! how nice! love these little buggers the hook makes him fit brilliantly in a pirate band!

Realy digging the bases they work well.

Thank you, and they are actually quite easy to do.

Tiny will have an anchor on the base, just got hold of some today.

VERY COOL MINI! It took me a moment or two to find the head...kind of blended in with the surrounding black areas. The bases look GREAT. Keep up the FINE WORK! AAAARRRGGH!

Will help as soon as he is fleshed out so to speak hehe...

And some paint on the shirt should do it.

...I CAN identify. With moi it's worse: "Oh WOW, that is SO COOL!"...the problem is it was "SO COOL!" the last time I saw & bought it; THUS multiples of "SO COOL" happen.

Great looking warband! Everyone loves pirates, and you've got a great and very characterful band going here.
