| Hello All,
The names Andy and I'm returning to Mordheim after a long hiatus.
I've been into RPGs and wargames for a long while now. I meet every Wednesday night with the my RP group. Recently We've been playing WFRP although D&D tends to be our main stay.
I last played Mordheim a long while ago, when I was still in school. In those days we only used the contents of the box set with poorly put together Skaven and human mercs; of course they never ever seen a paint brush. Its amazing to think that despite how long I've been into the genre I only painted my first miniature around this time last year. Since then my painting has been rather infrequent and so hasn't improved much.
I'm a member of the Lead Adventure forums, and the inspiration to visit Mordheim came from Cianty's excellent Geirburg project. I wish I had a fraction of his talent!
Before I forget please forgive the stupid questions that I'll ask!
Cheers Andy | |

| Welcome, Andy!
I am mainly a RPG-er too. Haven't played WHFRP, but I have all the 2nd edition books, I think (fun to look through). We mainly play D&D 3.5, although we recently gave Paizo's Pathfinder (D&D 3.75) rules a spin, and like them pretty well too. Although there are occasional lulls, my wife and I and friends have played Mordheim pretty constantly since it was released. We have even figured out how to "Mordheimize" our D&D characters for a few sessions of the current campaign we are running (the PCs are involved in a war).
Again, welcome to TBMF. See you on the boards! | |

| Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
mweaver, our group never made it past AD&D 2nd Edition... I joined the group later and despite owning 3E and then later 3.5/True20 I couldn't get them to switch. The groups pretty big on the nights when everyone turns up there are 10 of us although lately there has been a core of 7 playing most of the time. As you can imagine combats are slow and at higher levels can be laborious. Recently we've looked at Savageworlds as a possible solution to this.
I can only apologise to everyone else, I currently don't have a great amount of time and between working, studying and my other main hobby (mountaineering) I can find it hard to fit in any wargaming. C'est la vie.
I'm painting a couple of beastmen just now. I've got two colours schemes in mind, I'm hoping to post both and receive critique/feedback before deciding which one to ultimately go for.

| I would recommend not combining your two hobbies, mountaineering and painting miniatures. I should think painting while climbing would be a real bad idea. | |

| The only way that I can think of combining both hobbies is by painting these guys: Although, they seem a little old school... I mean seriously where are the Goretex jackets!?! | |
