Hopefully the main goal is to have fun. My gaming group has played with elves in the past (high elves and dark elves from Lustria... yet to try shadow warriors) and we've had fun. I'm sure that Cian Shieldbiter's group will also have fun too. @Cian Shieldbiter - I look forward to hearing more. What rules are you using for Blood Dragons? My gaming group is also about to start a new campaign. This time we are going to experiment with the BTB objectives to define a winner. I'll have to post details when I get a chance.

| The Blood Dragons are from the Mousullon setting, never used them before so i'll let you know how it goes. Played Shadow Elves before and played against them, never had a problem with them but the High Elf Wyrd are a little different so we'll see how it goes. To be honest we only house ruled Elves max T =3 because of what i've read on here and i think it may be scrapped later. I have a table of "games to be played" that ensures each warband plays each other the same number of times, both 1 on 1 and multiplayer and we have a choice of scenearios(?) that can be added to if all are in agreement. We also use campaign points that allow your warband to increase in size at certain gateways (ok i pinched it from BTB) Got absolutly thrashed by the Lizard men last night (we played treasure hunt) all my 5 heroes and 2 warhounds got put OOA, rolled on the eye of the gods table and my champion turned into a spawn so now my bloodfather (seer) is leader, at least he has his chaos mark so i wont have to roll on that again. Bloodfather and champion miss next game and 1 warhound killed in the end game sequance and no income, im not a happy bunny . Question - if a model moves and throws a javelin is he at -1 to hit ??? I wonder if this does anything in terms of balancing... It affects only Heroes and thus allows them to increase a stat of the player's choice earlier (+1 Attacks, +1 Wound?), which may be even better (depending on the situation I guess). Just wondering... - Cian Shieldbiter wrote:

Well, congrats for getting a Chaos Spawn so early. That doesn't have to be a bad thing. And no, you do continue to roll for the Bloodfather as well, because the Seer's mark is not equivalent to the leader's. If you are then granted with "another" Mark of Chaos, you must choose the leader's Mark of the same god as you already have (in your case Arkhar - or Undivided if you wanted). This will make the Seer Leader even stronger but until then you will have to prove yourself to the Dark Gods.

| Oh no, i'm not in a happy place at the moment, i only have 3 heroes and a Chaos War hound to field in their next game against High Elves. Thanks for the heads up Cianty . Gonna re calculate my Middenheimers by getting rid of some armour. Cian Shieldbiter | |

| Javelin is a thrown weapon thus ignores modifiers for moving and range. Which High Elf warband were you using? Or there's a High Elf warband? | |

Just wondering..." Discussed this on saturday with Martin and decided to scrap the T 3 limit if Chris agree's (he is after all the Elf player). Strange that it never occured to us when we discussed house rules but then thats why i post on here. Cian Shieldbiter

| Must apologise folk, i played against the Black Orcs not Elves, allthough that match will come around. I lost (Failed route test after losing my chaos hound) but at least i grabbed 2 weird stone pieces and had 2 heroes for the exploration phase, ended up with 80 gold after selling stone. Bought a marauder with bone bow, sword and shield plus 2 chaos hounds. My bloodfather (who is now leader) didnt get turned into a spawn so all in all a good (ish) result. The High Elven Wyrd-breakers dont seem that overpowered to me but we'll see after they've played a few games. I read a lot about how overpowered Shadow elves are but that has not been our groups experience. Perhaps its down to how they are played but thats maybe the case with any warband.I think my middenheimers will be far more powerfull with their 7 marksmen armed with handguns and/or longbows. Thanks for all the advice and all the comments folk, i will keep you posted on the Chaos Warbands progress, doomed as it seemed to me after their first battle. Cian Shieldbiter | |

| DONE IT !!!!!!!!!! the Blood Dragons have been dropped by Martin after their 1 game, instead he chose a Shadow Elf warband and armed 4 Heroes with long bows, i heroe with Elf bow, a novice with dagger and a henchman with dagger. We played frenzied mob from EIF and whilst his archers failed with most of their shots in a long ranged duel against the mob my Bloodfather took out 3 mob and the elf henchman (he had already lost the Novice) and they routed. I rolled a 10 on the eye of the gods rule and chose the mark of the dog. Not only that but the condemned get a "strength up" roll from his experience and rolled a six. So glad i stuck it out, thanks for all the encouragement and advice folk. Cian Shieldbiter | |
