Mordheims Colors

Hey All, if this topic is in foul play, please remove it, but did Mordheim have official city colors? For some reason, I have it stuck in my mind black & green. Sorry for the inconvenience, just didn't know where to post this. Mordheims Colors Icon_redface

Green (wyrdstone) and red (blood) ? Very christmas-y.

Seriously though, aren't color schemes more of a provincial or county device than for specific cities? I'm not a WHFB player, but I seem to remember seeing colors in the army book for Reikland, Marienberg, etc.

Yeah, they had it in a White Dwarf issue. The colours that should/could be used for Mordheim soldiers would be, unfortunately, yellow and purple, which looks terrible together. At least all those horrible fashion designers died when the comet struck, I mean, no wonder Sigmar was pissed...

Reikland
Colours:

Red, White,
Leather
Look: Sturdy, durable clothes, military, uniform-like, complimented leathers
here and there. Soldiers have short hair and traditional Germanic mustaces.
Feathers and other ornamentation kept tight, and chiefly to signify military
rank.

Middenheim
Colours:

Blue,

Grey, White
Look: Heavy furs and boots with pads of armour here and there, wolf-pelt cloaks,
heavily bearded and unhelmeted. Shunning all instances of effete ornamentation,
combat scars and a frostbidden demeanour is the image that normally accompanies
the mention of Middenheim.

Marienburg
Colours:

Red,

Blue,

Yellow

Look: Large plumes and other ornamental objects, skirts and sashes, and jewelery
all about. Silks and perfumes are not uncommon sights in a Marienburg warband.
If they were hip-hoppers there would be BLING all over the place, biatch!

As others have pointed out, the state colors for Ostermark (where Mordheim is located) are purple/yellow, and actually it's a color combo that I think can work. You have to do it right, though.

Technically this doesn't match perfectly with the fluff, since the regmint was created after the destruction of Mordheim, but in contrast to the purple & yellow uniforms the Deaths Head Regiment which was based in Ostermark wore black and red, so you could make models that were predecessors to that regiment if you wanted to. They were established to fight the Vampire Counts, though, which was several years later.
