| Very nice Erkwin! The paintjob looks fantastic (although the beige could use another lighter layer in my humble opinion). Great brushing too! You have to tell me how you do it: your stonewalls look really cool. Do you use a layer of brown before brushing in grey? I also love how you carved only every other stone in the wall. I think I might use that method too if I may Ok, now for some pics of my possies: Unfortunately some of the paint from my possessed's tentacle went off after repeated encoutners with the floor. I didn't have time to repair that yet. | |

| Thanks Tom and Tortiou! Well, I don't have to say that your models look great, as you know it already, but they're so damn great! I also love the painting scheme(hope you know what I mean ), since it fits perfectly into Mordheim! And to answer you're questions: I dindn't paint the walls brown first, but I think I used a wash of brown before the final brushing. I painted the lads in a dark beige because I don't want them to look so bright, cause we're in Mordheim , but you're right, another highlight won't hurt. | |

| I absolutely love your color choices. Where the normal Possessed warband is that bright Red with Black, your rotting moss green is so realistic. It fits in so well with the Mordheim environment, and is very aesthetic!
Great job as always Tom.
Expect to see models with similar color schemes from me someday =)

| Hehe! I'm glad I was able to inspire you! To be honest, I spend more time on thinking about colour schemes and making "prototypes" than on actually painting the warband. Once I have found the colours I like, i "speed" through the painting process to get it over with as fast as i can. The toughest were the Wood Elves. I think I have been thinking (actively or passively) about possible schemes for over 2 months. I painted at least 3 prototypes, before deciding to go with one of them, only to do it completely differently when I actually painted the "first" archer Example: Two prototypes. The right one beeing an almost final version, but lacking the third "brown" colour. Oh and dont forget to show us your possessed! | |

| The red on the left archer looks astonishing! How did you paint it, did you use orange? | |

| Base Dark Flesh hightlighted with Fiery Orange up to pure Fiery Orange (or 90-10 Fiery Orange - Dark Flesh, I dont remember). I thought it looked good, but it was not camouflage-like enough for my taste | |

| Tom these look really good But I have this question, how do you get the nice ''matt'' effect on the beastman's skin for example? | |

Well I guess the Vallejo paints are a little less shiny than GW paints. But to be honest, I did not really notice that they were especially "matt" Even with GW paints (which are also acryl-based) my minis never turn out really shiny... at least I think so. I can only repeat (as I constantly do ) that you should really try to paint at least 3 layers of shading and let the mini "dry" before taking a pic. _________________

| You can't really drybrush cloths(yeah I know there's always an exeption to the rule). It'd look very dirty und not really good imo. | |

| Try to imagine where the light comes from. Or, if you can't imagine it, take a undercoating spray and spray it just very shortly from the angle where the light comes from, that's often a bit over the head. Then you see whih parts are bright and which are dark, so you can paint it. | |

| I couldn't let these guys go without inflicting you with YET another commentary. UBERCOOL, Oh Fearless Leader! The subdued colors on these Guys REALLY looks good, AND, with all the Possessed bands tending toward black, it makes them unique. VERY WELL DONE!The ABSOLUTELY best part of all your War Band posts is getting to see remarkable minis in an equally remarkable setting. OH BABY! | |
