| Thanks for the compliments guys, flattery is the best source of motivation. I really tried hard on these chaps and perhaps some of the best painting I've ever done, practice does indeed make perfect.
I'm thinking what other warband I might do next, Mordheim is great for kickstarting my unpainted warhammer armies.
Beastmen, Lizardmen, dwarves, even more humans (although I'm a little tired of these now), forest goblins, orcs, dark ekves, marauders/chaos, ogres/gnoblars, undead.
I can't decide, any other ideas? suggestions?

| On the Next War Band in town front: I'm NOT a big fan of the Lizard Lads; i.e., they're rather devoid of personality with the possible exception of some of the Reaper minis I've done. PLUS I'm working on a commissioned army of the Cold Blooded variety, which is a bit of a turn off on the genre...if I NEVER see another @!!*$## Lizard it will be TOO SOON. I've done Ogres & Gnoblar & Dwarf War Bands; both were a LOT of FUN to work on with a TREMENDOUS amount of potential for personalizing, modelling, & painting. The Living Impaired are what I'm toying around with now...a Pirate Band & a Land Lubber group. These are also a REAL trip... LOTS of COOL things to do, make, & paint. The Beasty Boys look to be an interesting project that I've yet to explore...a someday thingy. Somehow I have the feeling I MIGHT have made your decision EVEN harder...sorry about that. | |

Make the dark knight a hired sword but on a d6 roll of a 1 only robin turns up.

| The only thing stopping me from voting for Forest Gobbos is that you've just finished a goblin warband, so you'll probably want a change of pace. Otherwise I would definitely give them my vote.
If not Forest Gobbos, my vote is with either Dwarfs (in fact it would be cool to see a Dwarf Ranger warband, I've tried playing one myself but never seen anyone else do one) or Marauders. Gotta love vikings, that's all I have to say.

Somehow I have the feeling I MIGHT have made your decision EVEN harder...sorry about that. You certainly have! My previous warbands with Flameon have been Circus Extraordinaire and Pirates both of which are great fun and have been posted both on here and the Flameon website. in the work in progress sections I think. There's a good spread of warbands in our current campaign and as Mr Dave Spaceman mentioned it would be good to something that hasn't been done before. Unfortunately that would discount dwarves and beastmen. Forest Gobbos, Lizardmen and possibly Gnobblars (IIf there's a list somewhere??) still really interest me though and possibly a Chaos cultist/Circus/Norse warband too. Heck I should probably just do them all! - Commander Von Drake wrote:

We're developing our own rules for the Caped crusader and Snotling wonder. My original idea was to introduce some sort of doom diver into the game which of course had to be batman themed. The tricky part is trying not to make it too complicated. So far his flying attack is this: Glide D6 + 2x(the height of whatever he's standing on) inches. If he glides into base contact with an enemy he counts as charging, the model gains +1 S & +1 to hit bonus Obviously there's lots of things to resolve here and will be playtesting A LOT! I'd like the possibility of him gliding off randomly by failing an intiative test before his movement/charge and an effect for hitting a building other model by accident resulting in a roll to wound for both parties.

Just been reading through the night goblin development thread, I can't believe I missed it! It'll be interesting to see how the warband develops and when I eventually get to use them they'll get a lot of play so we'll quickly see how balanced they are. I'll definitely be in touch with him to see what happened to the doom diver. The Gobbo's aren't in action at the moment as I'm 11 games into the new campaign with Papa Jingle's Cirque de Extraordinaire unless room opens up for another warband, however with so many games already played I think its best to wait for the next one. Thanks for all the great comments guys, I've narrowed down my search for the next project to either Norse, Lizardmen or a pure Gnoblar warband ( I still cant find a list anywhere, can anyone help?) I've kind of discounted forest goblins as I think they'll play very similar to the night goblins but I've quite a few of them and I really want to paint and convert them so I might just do that anyway

| Howdy, Sure I'll get them updated. it'd be an honour to have the in the gallery the original pics were done at a high resolution with the subject in focus. Photobucket seems to take some liberties when compressing the images. Don't worry I'll try to get them sorted tomorrow | |
