First of all as this is my first post I`d like to say hi to everyone. I have been lurking around here for a while and have allready gotten some great inspiration for the board I`m making.

But now some pictures of the things I have made(still unpainted though)

Gallows

And a chapel destroyed by a meteor chunk. Maybe I will add a bit of roof to this one.

What do you guys think?

Hi Timo!

Welcome to the forum!

Great work! I love both of those buildings! Esp the gallows! Great Idea!

I only have one irk: You don't have Hangmans Nooses Wink I'm a knot-obsessed (old) boy scout. It's a really simple knot, and looks rad when it's done too. I found these simple instructions here:

http://www.realknots.com/knots/noose.htm (scroll down a little bit to get to "The Hangman's Knot.")

But I love your stairs. Good work thinking about putting figures on them. I never had thought about that before a couple weeks ago. I did find one guy who made stairs that looked normal, and held a model... but it depends on how you base ur models. Here's a pic:

Full Thread is here: http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3231&start=15

I love the Meteor crashing through the building.

My only critique on this one is the "styrofoam bubbles" You can cover them with glue or Spackle. I just wrote a little Covering Syrofoam surface tutorial on how I do it.

Ohooo! Nice gallows Timo! Smile

Ash is right about the styrofoam tho. You should really cover it in something before spraying. It just looks crap when you see the bubbles and when they meld because of the spray.

Don't worry, it is not too late. I usually use white wall paint and paint the whole building with it before spraying. It is the cheapest way I guess (PVA being slightly more expensive).

Just paint over the styrofoam with wall paint, let dry for 2h and spray again in black! Smile

Good luck and let us see how it turns out!
Cheers.

Thanks guys. About the styrofoam actually i did cover it with some paint before spraying but I think i started spraying too soon and the paint was still wet(that is a problem of mine, i want to get everything done fast). But I think I am going to cover it with spackle so i can fill the holes that allready melted into the styro, thanks for the tutorial Ashton.

I mostly used the sprues from the mighty empires tiles `cos they are thicker than avarage ones but the ones from models would work just as well.

HAHAH no way. I didn't realize that. I thought they were popsicle sticks with only a base coat.

Good work.

Hi guys, I'm back from the dead It is aliiiive! ... Well at least I'm doing Mordheim projects again. Here's some of the things I've been working on.

First the painted gallows.

Second is a magic shop attached to a wizards tower.

This one might have been a tavern I'm not sure yet...in any case I will add some more stuff to the interior oh and the roof still needs to be painted.

VERY NICE WORK!cheers

As a Fellow Waste-Not, Something-Out-Of-Nothing Modeler, I salute you. The Gallow turned out spectacularly well, the Tavern is a beaut, AND I LOVE that wizard's Tower/Magic Shop; the chimney pipes in particular are Ubercool. WELL DONE!thumbsup

Those buildings have great layouts. I can't wait to see them finished. Keep it up.

Very nice use of sprues on the gallows! Pringles always make great towers.
