Kadzik's Merchant Caravan

Welcome my after long absence.
After almost a year-long pause I've came back to Merchant warband.


The Merchant with sword and dueling pistol. Converted from imperial engineer.






Knight Vanguard with sword and pistol.



Knight Vanguard with katana (yes, this is a flamberg, but technicaly ricasso and this kind of teeth are used to parry)





Trade wagon. I'd like to build sledge. I'm using wood from a basket buy with strawberries (yummy!) and matches. Skids and base are made also, but I don't want to show them (not so interesting IMO).
Miniature, added for size comparision, is anoher merchant version without pistol.

That's some nice stuff! I like the wagon. Do you think you can finish it in time for the BTB competition?

If studies (and my girlfriend ) won't be so time-consumer, I will finish it maybe for two weeks.

Hmmm....I can finish my sledge, but I cannot paint my warband till 19th
I have also Cartaginian for BTB, Haqqislam for Infinity, and my beloved Pirates which are my priorities.....

I find it an interesting thing that the REAL swashbuckling adventurers of the Medieval/Renaissance are the Merchants ala Marco Polo. You've got a GREAT LOOKING addition to the genre in the works there. Keep up the GOOD WORK...when it doesn't conflict with your other projects!

I've just finished another merchant (cause I'm WYSWIG faithful worshiper, so the second one is important on the beginning and later mayby as a HS merchant) armed with sword only. Base will be covered with snow, but I have to search my "Magic Box With Stuff And Other Magic Things" for sodium
Apprentience "Sad Rysio" is also finished, but he doesn't like camra and each of 20 photos is a crap :/

What model is that? I don't believe I have seen that model before. It looks absolutely excellent. A very nice looking caravan you have going.

This is old Imperial cannon crewman. I've only added sword.
In the evening I will show another crewman with barrel, who acts as apprentience.

I've just take acceptable photos of apprientence - Sad Rysio. He's cannon crewman from 5th edition. I've added pistol carried on a rope.

Yay! I too have this model laying around somewhere. Never had the idea to use him as an Assistant. But that's a great idea! And your painting sure does him justice! I can't wait to see the entire warband onboard the wagon.

VERY NICE! You & I are on the same page color-wise. Poor Sad Rysio looks the part of the hard working, underpaid apprentice. It's a shame that he's one of the minis that GW in their annoyingly arbitrary way has discontinued. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks! Besides, I like 7th edition Empire a lot, cause they've made State Troops more renaissance, I'm VERY dissapointed, that crews are actually less renaissance :/ Shame.....

Did you notice that some of the miniatures in Mordheim (Reiklanders and Marienburgers) were more "modern" dressed, than most of the Empire soldiers in WFB 500 years later?

The Folks at GW DO seem to have a VERY flexible timeline.
Since they have or had Winged Hussars in the mix, it would have been cool to have some of the Lads done up with Pluderhosen.

The snow looks great on the pictures. And that wizard's 'fly agaric' hat made me chuckle.

Biedronus comes from "biedronka", which means in polish ladybug

Yeah, actually Lady Bug was my first impression as well, but then I realised the dots' colour would be wrong.

Isn't that Wizard kit GREAT? The price was a bit much, but ALL those COOL extra pieces make it worthwhile...I've gone through four of them so far.
