Warband - Bretonnian Questing Knights (Work in process)

Nice bro very nice... I would make the sword on the lady a bit less rusty more mithril like and the fleur de lile on the knights chest I would give another coat of gold... but other then that pretty sweet!

I am also very happy they send my bits from polen... can't wait to receive them and build my other questing knights and Knight of the realm.

Very nice dude, nice clean painting... start experimenting with the glazes to make em super awesome (I know you like em clean and shiny but he its mordheim!!!)

My bret warband is just sitting in it's case, sad, lonely and unplayed. LOL.

You reminded me about them after seeing your warband. I have all the rare bretonnian knights on foot that GW made, and two special Knights that a friend made and there are no other copies of them, plus the men at arms (metal and plastic), battle pilgrim, archers (metal and plastic) and Damsel.


They have been sitting for almost a year.

Could you post some pictures... especialy the converted. I also have the Grail knight and the Questing Knight (Warhammer Quest).
So they will be added to this warband too. But i want to convert the 2 knight errants and one Knight of the realm

Yea, I will try to post some this weekend.

I saw an article (can't remember where) that shows cutting mounted knights in half and putt them on the legs of other models to give you more "footed" knights. You would need a saw of some type (dremel) to cut through evenly to help make this succeed.

If you have that artical i would love to read it. Maybe you could post that one as well.

I will cut a command group of men in arms and use the upper part of the mounted knights of the realm. I think that will work out just fine
But the more information i can have, the better my conversions will be.

I toyed with the idea of a Bretonnian warband, but gave up, in part because the GW knights on foot are terrible. Using the men-at-arms legs with the mounted Bretonnian knight torso is brilliant alternative. Good job. Bravo.

Yeah... and if i find a green knight body... i will convert him too

But these 3 make a fine addition to my starting bretonnian warband.... just have to paint them.... then more pictures

Next time remove molds (I'm not sure is this correct world. I mean this bold lines of plastic made during miniature production). Miniatures are great, but this lines are like needle in the eye

Looking good so far, can't wait to see the whole group painted up!

Typically in English they're referred just as mold lines, to the point if not a little uninventive.

Sweet dude, i really like the red... shading is cool, nice use of transfers aswell. Job a good'un!
