I Need Measurements

Hi i have been thinking of making some buildings (for the first time) until i get some models and need help with measurements for doors windows etc as i dont have anything to compare them to. Thank you in advance.

I did a quick measure on a building in progress: 60mm from floor to ceiling; doors: 40mm X 25mm; windows: 25mm X 10mm. I originally chose these dimensions simply because it look "right" with the minis. Have FUN with the modeling!

You cn't really see the front door all that well, but you can get an idea how the minis match up size-wise with the window.

I wish i get that good one day. One last thing can you think of any other measurements i mite need.

I usually make mine somewhat smaller, but it depends on the models you're using I guess... I only use humanoids (no orcs or such) and therefore I gave my town a bit of a human feel to it.. so my floors are 2" high (which makes it great for climbing and jumping down without restraint)

For measurements I just position a model in the doorway I'm about to build, and see how it fits, then I build the rest of the building from there on... (of course, now I have my buildings ready, I don't need to measure every time...

you need to be very carefull if you are using models with raised weapons. I made a house using a more "relaxed" model and then found that my "dramaticly posed" models wouldnt fit!
