| Haha! Cool! I like the mansion-type house Well done. The colour scheme you'll give them really depends on your peronal taste. Hard to say how you should paint them. PS: Just one little comment on the gaps between floors. Try to close/hide those. _________________ | |

| About painting them i didn’t mean so much the paint scheme but the technique I am not sure applying paint strait to cardboard is a good idea | |

| Cardboard is probably difficult no matter what you do. I'm sure it will bend. Maybe try to undercoat it do lots of praying to Sigmar and then we'll see what happens. If it's still ok, you can then apply the actual paint.
But that's just guessing. I assume that building buildings out of cardboard is not a good idea. Maybe I'm wrong. Would be good.

| Yeah, cardboard is s*** when it comes to painting Sorry mate. BUT you have a solution: you can SPRAY the buildings. It won't look as "neat" as when painted with a brush, but you can make it burnt out by leaving vague areas of black. In fact I like to "burn out" my buildings a little with some black primer AFTER the final paint job, around windows and broken roofs. Buy a brown, beige and black acrylic paint spray, and that should work (careful: NOT shiny but mat). Alternatively (and muuuuuch better) you can use an airbrush if you are the lucky owner of one. Last possibility: use oil colors/acrylic colors but do almost not water them down. Use them raw. That will be a bit more wasteful for the colours, but it will also reduce the curving of the cardboard. Let us know how the little experiment turns out! _________________ | |

Well Said Cianty. HAHAHA My two bits would be to ALWAYS test it first on a scrap piece. Nothing is worse than destroying a perfectly good building you just slaved over for hours, when all you needed was to test it first... not that i've ever done anything that stupid.... seriously....

| That starting to look like a real city, maby add some extra baricades to make your streets less open (now have archers a big advantice). I like the big mannor building (but I thats because I like big buildings in Mordheim!), but are you able to get to the 2nd floor (or 1st depending on wich country you from )? Otherwise you should make a bigger hole in the wall so you can reach your models with your hand. | |

| On the cardboard: To seal the cardboard try painting it with white glue, like Elmer's, or,preferrably a Tacky Glue; DO NOT water the glue down. If you'd like some texture [recommended] sprinkle sand over the glue. Do both sides at the same time to minimize the chance of warping. Going over the drying glue with a hair dryer would speed the drying time & , again, minimize the warp effect. Once dry you can paint as normal. GOOD LUCK! Both your new building & the Games Board you share [very nice of you] with your Brother look TERRIFIC! | |

| I'd suggest moving to a thicker card or a thin foamcore poster board.
Painting the stuff you're working in right now could work out alright, following Deaf's suggestions, but you're going to have structural issues for the lifetime of the buildings. But if they're just for around the house, and everyone is good and careful about playing on them, there shouldn't be any major issues besides a ruined section being bent here and there ^_^.
The city is definitely looking the part though. I would definitely suggest a more claustrophobic approach as well. Ranged weapons have a HUGE advantage over the central area there ^_-.

| Looks really nice. Love the gallows. Personally, I'd work at adding more and more over time (which I'm sure is the plan). I find the game is best played when the streets are clogged, and the buildings are close together. Makes hiding very useful and ranged warriors have to be very good and get lucky with the angles to get their shots off. Very nice, thanks for letting us see it. | |
