| after Tom's forum got me hooked, and I returned from my sprint to the foamcard and balsa shop, this is what I came up with (just spray painted black and red ; need to touch up on the red (needs more black), the wood, floors, etc. ; whenever I find the time ...) the 2nd building I made was based on some pictures I saw from the Blood On The Streets expansion pack. (didn't post the 1st building though ; was just a simple try out) the ground level floor of the building with balcony was my first try with cork ; worked out not bad I think ... any comments or suggestions welcome ! | |

Some really nice buildings. I like the balsa beams and especially the architecture of the last building, that one looks really cool. What did you use for the wall structure? I think that one could be a bit smoother...?

well, just some mix of good old fashioned plaster (correct word ?) with wood glue. I thought the walls had to have some structure and must not be too flat ? One or two buildings have their inner walls without structure. I thought this was okay for inner walls, but I don't think I would like it for the outer ones.. I hope the outer walls come out nice once the dry brushing is done.
Anyone else thinks the structure is too rough ? Maybe I should try with some very fine sand instead of plaster ?

Or just apply a thinner layer of the mix? Maybe add more water to the plaster? As for other opinions: If you are happy with the structure, who cares what I think?

| VERY NICE WORK. AND for a first shot at doing Mordheimy buildings... OUTSTANDING! The texture should soften somewhat & look quite good with the dry brushing. I LOVE the balconey, & the interesting angles you incorperated. VERY WELL DONE! | |
