| not a problem at all ! it's discussions like this that get us all brainstorming and boiling with new ideas to try out ! these are the very reasons why we post pictures. If it would have been for my ego, I probably would try coolminiornot, if I would be good enough. Think I now what you mean : the bottom of the flame bright yellow, and then working up through red to almost black, right ? Maybe I'll try it out on a flagellant ... the plastic box has enough spares. Should give a rather grimy "dirty" torch (suits Mordheim !) instead of the clean virgin like stuff I did .... mmmm ... where's me brush ?! the warpstone / glass bulbs I'm not particularly pleased with the swirls inside the ball are just too artificial, not natural enough next should be better because lately I'm trying out a new technique ; (well, new to me that is) instead of using the citadel washes, I use regular paint, but very thinned, and with a drop of floor polish. This gives a) a much smoother blending/finish, and b) gives a different colour saturation than the washes | |

| Hey Deaf, I'm sorry, but I really don't remember. I bought it between 15 and 20 years ago ; I think it was from a German company and it was really cheap. I think they also made figures for the "Eye Of The Master" rpg. I fear they went out of business long time ago. If you love babes, I suppose you know all the Rackham and Freebooter mini's ? Freebooter's got a dark sorceress that will get you droolin' ! (except for her hair) can't post a pic here since i'm on my son's laptop, but if you don't know it, i'll post it later | |

| Could be Hobby Products, which are now Mega Mini Dungeon Decor...AND available at about the same price as in the OLD days. Freebooter's Babes ARE INCREDIBLE...Werner Klocke has a REAL flair for the subect; his Reaper Chicks are of a comparable quailty. Rackham's Lasses are likewise Ubersexy & rather eligant. Bronze Age have some nice Pirate & Barbarian OH BABIES I'd LOVE to get...eventually. http://www.bronzeagemin.com/ . 28BAR-set-1 | |

| Hey pascal, I'm not sure where Mega Minis is being produced; it is possible they were purchased by an American firm...like Grenadier being now based in Italy & UK. They can be purchased from The War Store [flat rate International Postage ]: http://www.thewarstore.com/megaminiaturesdungeondecor.html . DaveSpaceman started a Femme Fatale thread could be hijacked for a general discussion of mini Babes...Dave was looking for GW females; GW doesn't have a clue as to what a female looks like . | |

| finished the witchhunter captain ; really love this sculpt ! I'm particularly pleased with his face. (except for the hair, which I never seem to get right) A bit disappointed with the sword and dagger handles and with the mudstains on his coat though. Any criticism and/or ideas welcome ! | |

| LOVE the moustache, AND the choice of colors ! The sword & dagger look FINE to moi...the sword blade actually looks like Damascus steel. The only critique with the mud is it looks too symetrical; otherwise VERY, VERY WELL DONE!

you're right, i guess it's the symmetrical look that doesn't feel right i just figured the stains would be where his legs push on his coat the mini isn't varnished yet ; any ideas how I can try to get a better look ? thanks Cianty ! much appreciated | |

| I gave up on trying to correct the mud stains : my paints just didn't want to flow the way I wanted them to ... (deleted one of 2 stains at the back and tried to correct the other two) Finished the second witchhunter captain. Again, I followed the GW colour scheme because I like the dark gloomy atmosphere of it... I think these are the very first mini's where I tried to put a white dot inside the black iris. (was easier than I thought) as always ; any comments welcome cheers | |

| thanks Al i like the book as well, but i really would like to know what's causing the tiny little flecks (here it's orchide shade (GW), but I had the same problem with leather and other colours. Tried shaking the heck out of my pots, but the problem stayed. Guess it has something to do with the pigment, but i think shaking should solve the problem...) | |

| I think you paint great... The first mudstains on the captain looks like light effects from a torch It gets better when you corrected a bit, but it is hard to do... | |

| thanks for the replies guys & galls ! Lanyssa, can you explain a bit more about the blood ? I tried to make not too big streaks in different shades of red. The result isn't exactly golden demon level, but I thought it was not that bad ? | |

| I hate you. Your models look rubbish. No I'm not jealous. Okay yeh i really am! How do you get all the detail? I have this magnifying glass thing which is okay but I can't keep my hand steady for toffee. Are these older models judt generally bigger eyed? the eye patched witchunter model looks great, he's actually the model I liked the least, but your paintjob has changed my mind. Glad to see you are doing the same warband as me, hopefully when it comes closetr to me actually playing we can swap tips and stuff. Okay i say swap tips but it will be more like you give me helpful constructive critique and I spaz at you and tell you that you have no idea what your on about and then I post the finished article and I have either taken all your advice and I wont give you any gratitude or I'll go against what you say and it'll look like a multicouloured lump of something resmbling a nurgling.
But yeh please try with me anyway!
