Girr's Orc Warband

Hello!
Well Iv started making my Orc warband and thought I upload som pics for feedback and hopefully some inspiration (I know Iv got alot of it from this forum). Pleas keep in mind that most of this is realy WIP! alot of GS is on the way to fill gaps and add some efect...

First up is my Shaman: I realy whanted to make my own Shamy and I think he looks the stuff^^






Im gonna add some GS on his staf, gaps that need filling and he will need some arrows to be able to use the bow...

Then We have the two Big 'Un's: First one is the standard berer... well it looks more like a trophy rack but I think the message comes through (still very WIP)

Cant remember who, but some one on the forum gave the tip to use matches on the bases and I just love it!

I need to get some sleep now, so Ill post more later

Love the models mate, and especially the massive blade the second big'un has...waaaaaaaaagh!

Looking good! I think the second Big 'Un takes the cake for me - he looks really cool in spite of (or because of) his simplicity. The model is straightforward but the pose is dynamic and the components are well-chosen. Good job!

A GREAT START on what promises to be an Ubercool War Band. VERY NICE kitbashing there! The Lads have a LOT of character & a considerable amount of personality...keep up the GOOD WORK! ORCS IS DA BESTEST...despite being stupid, ugly, & with a smell like a seat on a cross town bus!

Love the shaman. I'm sticking with the classic mini myself, but seeing that makes me regret a bit, but I'll manage.

Thanks for all the lovely posts Im glad to here the moddels photograph well! I realy like the second Big 'Un as well since it feels like he is in midd-action and its nice to hear that the sword works!
Hehehe yea the GW moddel is awsome but I whanted to do something my own and it turned out kinda sweet

I didnt have time to poste this orc boy yesturday... Hes using a hook on some rope to climb in the buildings

The mask is from Wurrzag Ud Ura Zahubu, a special character from the previous O&G Army list. I don't know whether the mini is still available from GW or not.

Yep, Orcs & Goblins ARE official; they appear, in ALL their GLORY, in the Annual. Cool, huh?!

Ahahah of course really tempted me to make a Orc Warband now Darn You!!!

Man, those orc heads have got themselves some viciuosly enthusiatic espresions on those beastly mugs! Is the last guys head from a new sprue?

Its Wurrzag Ud Ura Zahubu's wooden-fence-mask-head-thingy I got the mini like 4years ago but I never assebel'd him as for the orc boy head its from the new new orc gretchin pac(40k)... I got the kit almost only for the bully who is the only fat orc GW has released and he includes a cool atacksquig and two cool heads And if anyone is wondering about the second 'Un's head is from the savage orc boar boyz bits!

Hello again, Iv taken some pics of 3 WIP boyz and I hope yall like 'em Im gonna add mor crap on the bases so they look a bit more fun^^

First up is my only boy with a sword.. so ofc he's ben using it to behead ppl! (hes throwing the head at the enemy








Next up is the drummer boy! witch is a must have in a warband... We like to let our enemys know we are comming(its all a part of "the cunnin plan")
NOTE* this is the only mini in the warband so far I dont realy like all that much

I actually like the drummer quite a bit! The big gauntlet on his left arm looks cool, is that from Ogre Kingdoms?

I'm also a fan of the "sneaky" arrer boy.

The bows are awesome. Wish i had some for conversions. i just use the ones from the regular goblin box set... kinda small.

the orcs are very motional, and have a lot of cool gadget on them! I
need to make some that looks literally as 'moving' as those!

The one with the lamp is my favorite, i can't help but imagine him sneaking in a Empire Town

The thought of an orc tossing the severed head of his enemy back to his mates during a fight makes my inner orc smile.

ALL VERY COOL! I LOVE the idea of the Archer "sneaking" around while standing spotlighted by his lantern...VERY archtypical of the Orcish take on logic. I ALSO like the Drummer...the HUGE fist is cool & the positioning is GREAT. VERY imaginative use of various piece; EXCELLLENT WIP minis.

Thanks everyone! Im glad to hear that yall like the drummer, Im starting to like him more and more:) Im trying to use a wide veriety of bits for the warband that will like help showing that they have ben looting in Mordheim for some time
