| Hmm sorry Ashton I don't really understand the issue. Maybe it helps if you post a pic of this "blue foam 250". | |

What was it called? And could you carve out cobble stones with a pen/pencil? Thanks John

| Sorry for the late response, I flipped through old topic and figured I could try to light your lantern I cant remember the exact name but its a 4x8' board frequently used in constructions to isolate the inside from cold. You know these pink sheets you see when they're building a house and that they havent done the covering yet. I can't understand why you guys cannot find this. It's a frequent furniture in hardware stores and such. And yes it's easily carvable. I found out that a rounded pencil works out best to do neat&deep separations that are easily filled with mild watery paint. A too sharp pencil tend to break the styro in very untidy manner. Also, make sure to keep the pencil at a 90 degree angle, though, because if you lean it slightly you will end up with hard-to-paint cracks. | |

| Yea, so after searching everywhere, I was at a neighbors house and saw a pile of 5-6 sections of pink foam (back in feb-mar). They said I could have a bunch, so I took a small section approx 1.5' x 2' to do my two platforms. Now I just need time so I can build my board out of it He said he found it at a store which I had specifically asked for "pink foam"... go figure... | |

| In Germany, it's pretty hard to find anything like pink foam (at least in my town). I have been to every hardware store and they didn't have anything... However, they don't really know what they are selling, either, for one day I found some purple foam (which is quite similar to pink foam but a bit tougher, I guess - can't tell for sure due to the lack of pink foam to compare...) and it took me at least half an hour to buy a sheet for the stuff was only priced as a large packet and there was fortunately no-one around who was responsible for this part of the store...
So, if anyone knows a German store selling pink foam, feel free to enlighten me.

| I bought some pink-white foam in an Obi lately. Don't ask them if they have it, just have a look in the isolation-section. There you usually find blue foam, and sometimes this pink-white stuff.
BTW I once asked for working-gloves in a craftstore and was told they hab none. After five minutes search I found a full shelf of working-gloves. This guys really seem to have no idea what they are doing.

| Haha,
[offtopic] I went to my hardware store and bought 82" x 24" of screen meshing (like to keep the flies out) and the guy wanted to charge me $112... He put in 82 feet, not inches...[/offtopic]
