| Hi everyone. my mate and I have started to play mordheim and to make it a bit more fun we are going to make our own buildings/terrain and i was wondering if anyone had any ideads of what to use for the board. I would also appreciate any tips about the game. P.S Thank you in advance and i'm sorry for any misspelled words. | |

| you could go completely modular and build your board in blocks, or go with a static table wich i would use plywood or particle board. i use insulating foam in blocks so i can go modular worlfgangs wip mordhiemhere's a link to the best mordheim table i've ever seen, and its all insulating foam and modular.. | |

| What's best for you depends on a couple of factors. What do you have available locally? What will you be able to store? How much are you looking to spend? Alternatively, how much time will you be able to put into it? How much punishment do you expect it'll take? Will you have the table at home, or at a club? All in all, extruded polystyrene (the blue or pink insulation boards) is an excellent material to build a lightweight if slightly fragile gaming board. With lots of patience and the right tools, you can get pretty much any texture you could think of out of those things. Cobblestoning a whole table takes ages.. but damn it looks good. Just check Tom's blog out for proof of that If you have the space to store it, I suggest keeping the boards in their natural 60x120cm shape, and leave the usual overlap be as well. Another alternative to keep an eye out for, is textured wallpapers. It seems everyone but me can get hold of fancy cobblestone-texture wallpaper for super-fast & easy game table texturing. Good luck! | |

| I'm aiming to do the same thing with a few of the lads. I picked up the cobblestone mold off hirstarts, and after a few weeks of setting plaster, there should be enough for a whole table. Seems to be working alright so far. | |

| http://www.hirstarts.com/ Great stuff. Loads of information on the website so you can read up and decide if moldmaking is something you'd consider doing. | |

We were thinking of buying the dungeon accessories mold with the barrels, crates, chests, etc but I can't find a sizing for it.

You know, I just ordered that mold. It should be here within the week, I can take some reference pictures when I cast it if you'd like?

| A friend of mine has several of the Hirst Arts molds. They are nice, but be careful what you choose to base any of the building on as they can be quite heavy when fully built. | |
