First Mordheim board attempt

Hope this comes out.

A few things to note.

1. Not everything has been painted, this is still a work in progress
2. See #1
3. The Big Green building is my Green Man Inn. The two splotchy things on the 2nd floor are leering, haunted faces coming out of the walls.
4. I'll try to post more pics later. Right now I'm having some issues with photobucket

Looking promising indeed! The aquaduct is a nice touch.

Do I spot some gallows? You may want to have them raised on some platform as well.

Oh actually, it's just a raised platform for holding criminals. I'll try to upload a better shot tonight. I made a temporary jail for all the miscreants of Mordheim and the city guard could just go and make rounds to collect them all at night. I was trying to decide if I needed to raise the gallows and I will certainly take your advice. I still need to spread out some damaged lumber, bits of walls, blown apart rubble, etc. I appreciate your kind remarks. Wait till I finish this board *and* the caverns underneath!

Is that textured wallpaper? I bought some like it but haven't used it yet.

Von Kurst it is textured wallpaper! It is deliciously wonderful and I hate it with a passion. The problem is after the first couple of feet, the "texture" gets flattened by the weaight of the wallpaper. The roll presses down on itself. So for a few pieces, it's really, really great. Simply cut, paint in black, drybrush in grey. For the other feet...it's a matter of using a pencil beforehand to create definition and then painting very, very lightly.

I like! I like!! Would be most pleased to play on this table. Some really great small touches. (the gallows! )

Very nice indeed for your first board, and it gets better! The city can still grow as your skill, which is very promising indeed!

Thanks everyone for the support and very generous words. I'll add more pics as I do touch ups and add details. I have a game with a friend this thursday and he doesn't know I'm working a board, so maybe he'll be impressed (it's his 1st time playing).

Looks great!! I'd add a few interior walls to the large single story ruins.
