hi, recently iI have been immersing myself in mordheim scenery and decided to make a small tavern.
(pics shown below)
i started off by cutting some corrugated cardboard into the shape i wanted, after this i cut cereal card to fit around the outside of the corrugated cardboard, after this i cut wooden coffee stirs to give the house a timber frame, and a door, i kind of forgot windows though, after i got done with this i cut business cards into strips of shingles for the roof and glued them on, after that i applied spackle in between the timber frame, then sanded it down to give it a smooth look, that completes the steps i have done so far,

i plan to add spackle to the lower facade and make a tavern sign

Looking good so far!

The only thing that would bother me is that it does not appear to be accessible (I mean the interior). Correct me if I'm wrong.

So, in case I am right, I'd suggest going for a removable roof and first floor next time Smile Nonetheless, it looks far better than everything I have ever build.

thank you for your compliments,

hmm, next time i think i will try and make removable floors,
the main reason i haven't so far is because I'm horrible at making miniature interior Crying or Very sad
but i can learn Wink

oh, do you have any suggestions for interior items?
the only things that come to mind are a chimney and a table...

thanks again,

You can always make it a plundered house, with most of the items stolen and the rest smashed to pieces.

For other interior items, you could make chests, a bookshelf, a weapon rack, barrels, a carpet (as a painted piece of paper), hay as bedsteads, etc. For an inn, it would be already sufficient to have a little hay on the upper floor (sleeping hall) and a couple of long tables, a big barrel and a bar on the ground floor, I'd say.

And even if you don't have anything in it, accessible buildings really enhance your games. Oh, and don't forget the windows, of course, for good sniping positions.

As a generic medieval-fantasy building, it's ok (but you already noticed the lack of windows).

You can make window frames to fit over the walls with the same wood sticks and just paint the window "glass" a grey-blue color. Not the best solution, but something that will be useful to fix that mistake.

For Mordheim, I'll second pitfighter saying it will be better if in ruins.

But as always, you just get better each time you do it, so I'm sure your next buildings will be even better.

Hope that helps.
